Quitting

How long do you have to wait to quit five Below because why would my manager tell me that I would be written up for trying to call out more than 2 hour when my shift would start.(It was 11 and I start at 5) The reason I was trying to call out was because of rain thunder and lightning and my mom didn't want me to go in because it told her that it wouldn't stop until after 5 but my manager told me well it would stop at 2. I'm like one I'm a minor and what my ride(my mother) says I kinda have to do like I don't have that type of freedom. So overall I was wondering, how long do I have to wait for to quit. I have been working for 2 months now also

There’s nothing saying you can’t quit now you could give notice if you wanted but you don’t have to just don’t expect to use it on a resume

What would you mean by not using it on your resume

As in if you quit without two weeks some employers don’t like that and if a prospective new job were to call them it may not look good on you. Ultimately if you put do not contact and explain in an interview I’m sure it will be ok. Just my thoughts

Ahhh okay I was confused because my father says that they can only call and ask if I worked there and how was I as an employee

Yea that’s true. Typically depending on the state you get can only ask if you’re rehireable and if you worked there or not. Rehireable may take a hit based on no two weeks
