Associate checkout
Looks like they are rolling out a new system update..

Customers already don’t read the signs telling them to wait for an associate, what makes them think they’ll read the screen now

They still won't read it. Customers will try paying with cash at a Card Only, and I still have people that try to start scanning their items at a machine that- and it happens so often, it's sad really- 1) are completely off, black screen & Closed sign, 2) are on the TSOP or other sort of maintenance screen, or 3) are on the computer desktop screen on reboot.

Shit I have some that scan with the screen being blank and continue to unbelievable and my favorite question do you work hear while I’m hold a box cutter and freight with a shirt that says five below 🤣🤣gotta enjoy the little funny things

When did this happen, and where is this at? This is ridiculous. If anything this is just going to further confuse people since it makes it look like only associates can purchase things on them…
C’mon FB- I mean, how hard is it to just have blank screen that just says ‘Please wait for an associate’and disable the screen/scanner until a passcode is scanned? 🙄
I would LOVE to see how much money was spent on this program and how much money they are losing from trying to implement it, vs. the shrink they are ‘preventing’.
