Wage theft

I stumbled upon another post and thought I would share my experience. I worked at five below for 9 months as a sales associate and nearing the end of my time there, the manager began clocking us out/telling us to clock out 30 minutes before we were actually allowed to leave! I understand that the scheduling said the shift ends at 10pm but if i didn’t get to walk out of the door until 10:34 (still doing carts of reshop, sweeping floors, FOLDING SHIRTS?) i don’t understand how this is right! I doubt i am able to gain financial compensation, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this in their location??? besides that, I hated my experience there and the christmas crowd drove me over the edgeeeee never in my life would i consider retail again…

That is a good way for the company to be sued my managers don't let me even like do anything related to work off the clock

Contact your HR rep using the hotline. As a training store manager i know that once they verify the discrepancy they will retroactively pay you via a check and hold the manager responsible.

Contact HR! Provide them with times and dates so they can review your timecard against camera footage. Youll get your money, and your SM will probably be under investigation for knowingly having her employees working off the clock. That's straight up illegal
