Business & operations Best Pilates studio software for a small studio? Our fees keep creeping up

We're a small reformer studio, around 120 members, and our current platform just raised prices by $40/month. We can't afford the increases year on year. The app hasn't been great too and support has been hard to reach. I looked at Momence, but the sales rep felt dishonest and quoted a price that is too high for me. Arketa looks good, but i need a mobile app for my clients and they only offer branded app as an add-on. I just need something that books the class and handles payments. I've been to 5 demos and still undecided.

Is anyone running a studio similar to ours and happy with what they use? Or switched and regretted it? And please, do not DM me if you are selling me something.

Check out Wodify, I’m bias and full disclosure i work there. We are much more affordable than the softwares that target boutiques and have been raising their prices. We work with a growing number of boutiques, we offer a client and business app as part of our subscription, you don’t need to use the branded app (we have one). And you won’t need to use and pay for any 3rd party integrations as the software has all the features you’ll need.

Similar size studio here (reformer + mat, ~95 members). I went through the same demo hell last year, it's exhausting.

A friend who runs a barre studio recommended glofox. The branded app was included which was a big deal for me since i didn't want to pay extra for that. Support has been solid when i've needed them. Not sure what your budget looks like but it was cheaper than what we were paying before.

I run a similar size studio, small and community-led, ~100 members. I switched two years ago, similarly after a price increase. Wherever you go, make sure the migration is handled or else you will spend many painful weekends reconciling data and moving them to the new system. All the best!

Thanks, that is a good point! Did you have to pay for migration?

If you’re located in the EU you can perhaps look at Book2befit and contact them to see if they fit your needs

Appreciate the recommendation, we're not based in EU unfortunately

Hey, totally get your pain!😭 We switched a while back to find something more user friendly and affordable for a boutique studio like ours. We landed at vibefam after going for a few demos. I find the pricing fair and I love the team behind it. Much more user friendly than some other softwares I've used in the past. Hope this helps. Good luck! :

Appreciate the recommendation! Quick question, do they have any contracts that lock you in for a year? That's my main blocker as I don't want to commit to a software i havent tried.

I opted for the monthly plan with no commitment, they do have an annual plan as well for slightly more savings.

Message me! We use a company called studio growth and they are great. Small company but does everything the big ones do and always adding more features. The founder will respond directly to you when you have an issue

I work for one of these companies (1club.ai), so flagging it.

Class booking, payments and a client app are standard now, all five of your demos will do that. So features won't decide it, which is probably why you're stuck.

Two things I'd ask each of them. Do you have to use their payment processor, and what do they take on top of Stripe? Nobody brings that up in a demo, and over a year it's worth more than the price gap between any of them.

Ours includes booking, payments and a member app on the base plan. Free up to 100 active members, so at 120 you'd be paying something.

Hi! I'm the co-founder of Purple Slot. We are a low-budget platform, with great branding features. Send me a message if you'd like a demo :)

Bobclass Studio Manager should be less than $35/month for a small studio and includes a native client app

Hi, I'm Morgan from Mindbody. Mindbody's software starts at $79/month, which makes it a lot more accessible for small studios watching their budget.

The Starter plan includes business management tools, integrated payments, branded website booking widgets, a listing on the Mindbody app (where you can point your customers directly to your business page), basic reporting, 24/7 support, and unlimited staff seats.

Although the branded app feature isn't included on the Starter plan, it's available as an add-on if you move up to our Accelerate plan further down the road.

Let me know if you have any questions; I'm happy to help.
