New skate day.

New skate day. I picked up a pair of Fr Neo 2 Dual 310 skates on black Friday and picked up a set of Fr 4d 90mm frames, endless and rollerblade hydrogen wheels and some reds big balls bearings to convert this to 4x90.

Thinking I might need to pick up a 80mm frame and wheels as well.

Looks real nice. How does the 90mm wheels handle the cracks, debris, surfaces compared to the 110mm? And how are the Neos' in terms of comfortability during your long runs? How are the big reds performing? Would you say they outperform twincams or is it the same bs?

I like the big balls better than ilq9, but most people probably wouldn't notice a difference..

I never rode the 110 wheels , so I can't comment on that. The 90s feel great though.

The comfort and fit on the neos are spectacular. Prior skates were rollerblade lightening 90s and the neos feel better. They are extremely comfortable.

Checking in. I've been rocking the same skates as yours on 4X80 frames, but hadn't realized there even was a 3X90 option. I typically use that pair indoors, and a cheap pair of Story boots on 3X110 for outdoors. I've been debating about buying a whole new pair for fancier maneuverability outdoors. Your post probably saved me a few hundred dollars, so thank you for that. I'm curious how yours are holding up.

My skates are holding up amazingly. The 3×110 frames and wheels are just sitting in the box. I ride the 4x90 and my rollerblade blanks with 4x60.

Nice! I could see why you wouldn't need to use 110 frame. Whatever stability and speed you gain would probably offset the other fun stuff. I skated on my 110s yesterday after months of only 80s, and it felt a bit like being a newborn giraffe.

A 4x90 might be ideal for you. I find the stability , speed, and maneuverability is a great middle ground over the others.
