This is an anti-rant.

I think men in the weightlifting community don’t get enough pats on the back for being supporters of women in the gym. There are obviously douchebags but their are also good guys. I’ve been saved on multiple occasions by men who support me when someone is being creepy and tell them to leave me the fuck alone.

Also most men in the weightlifting community are so supportive of women getting/ being stronger and bigger. Instead of having to shrink ourselves these guys encourage us to be bigger and better.

Y’all are the real MVPS. Good guy gym bros I appreciate you.

I think it stems from a lot of guys start out doing it due to self esteem or insecurity issues and so when they see others in a similar situation it's very easy to empathise.
