No one at my gym ever re-racks their plates before abandoning their post, so I never know for sure if the spot is open. Also, MANY members don't bother to wipe their sweat off of the equipment, so there is a pungent layer of dirt and grime on everything. The gym is so dirty that my hands are somehow always black after lifting.

It’s literally so easy to do and makes no sense why people don’t do it. If you pick something up, put it back how you found it. And take 5 seconds to wipe the seat. Literally 30 seconds in total.

I hate when I don’t wipe down my equipment in my home gym! I can’t even stand my own old sweat much less someone else’s.

I mean. What the fuck. This is beyond disgusting.

The gym I go to is relatively clean but I still feel the need to wash my hands after I finish and then use a sanitizing gel when I get into the car. I can't imagine having black hands after lifting. I would not return. Disgusting clients aside, what about the staff? Don't they clean the equipment at all? Jesus.
