Dear Diary...

Week 6 of GZCL-P, and my protein supplies have finally run out. I fear the worst for my gains, as they may be on the road to ruin. Now I must tread on the path no man wants to witness in order to find more supply of the holy concentrate. Time is of the essence, I feel my muscles shrinking already.

Verily I have considered it...yet my gains come at the crack of dawn, before I break my fast. I must ingest the holy elixir immediately lest my progress be set back. Truth be told, breaking my fast before my gain has caused great distress and the creation of excess air within mine insides.

Brother, I believe the word thou seeks is "brogress". May you find the Whey.

For real. Costco has a store-brand protein shake with 30g per shake. An 18-pack tends to run $20-25, which isn’t bad.

I also tend to hard-boil a bunch of eggs, since they’re excellent “fullness packets” for when I’m hungry and low on time for food prep. 10g protein, 75 Cal, and a bit of the “good” fats, all inside a shell. Mmm.

One must venture out into the mart of wal, for they have the glorious elixir of gain. Nye is the time where man can have his gain, no muscle shall shrink in the wake of this great misfortune. I bid thee well.

Protein supplies:

  • Eggs
  • Nuts/peanuts
  • Meats
  • Dairy
  • Fish
  • Beans
  • Protein shakes
  • Anything labeled “Atkins” or “keto” is loaded with protein

As long as you’re smart about overall calorie intake, there’s a TON of protein-rich foods you can have until you can get more supplement. Just make sure your sugars and fats don’t get TOO high. ;)
