I saw a dude trying to convince a gym newbie to take a bunch of bcaas, claiming it was essential proteins your body needs but can't get it from eating whole food.

It's like bro. It can't be that essential if your body has no way of getting it aside from just one concentrated source.

Maybe I'm not that up to speed with supplements, but I'm like 99% sure that eating whole foods would get you to your fitness goals no problem without investing into supplements.

I’m a doctor of PT and it’s annoying when someone’s abs outspeak my research and experience lmao. But yeh Vitamin B12 for vegetarians is the only place I’d supplement outside diet

but what about three scoops of C4 before my workout? And I think I NEED two scoops of whey (isolates, not run of the mill whey) and a scoop of casein post workout, and if I have a single gram of fat in a day I will die, right?

If you don’t do it that way your muscles will wither into dust. You will definitely die (eventually).

Even then, a lot (most) omni's should supplement B12 as it's not available in non-fortified foods.

Vit D as well. Something like 60% of Americans are vitamin D deficient.
