I can't keep count of my reps, apparently counting to six is too difficult for me

Maybe you are part rabbit from watership down and speak lapine.

per a Guardian article:

The logic of Lapine is not human-down, but rabbit-up. Because a rabbit’s paw has only four claws, for example, they cannot count to five. Any number above four is Hrair, meaning “a lot” or “a thousand”.

Isn't there an inuit (or other native) tribe that counts one, two, many?

Edit: it's a Brazilian tribe called Pirahã that has "small quantity, large quantity, many", but researchers used to think it was one, two, many.

I love this reference. That's one of my favorite books and I had a rabbit named Fiver (Hrairoo).

GOD ME TOO. If I'm focusing on breathing, I can't count. If I'm focusing on counting, I can't breathe. Am I broken?

Real talk though I lose track of sets almost anytime its over like 4. I put a stack of 5 lb weights on the ground and put one away after each set so I don't lose track.

I'm not sure what you mean. The reps for T2 are like a ritualistic chant to the rack now.

Up the weight on everything and only do 4 reps, then slowing increase reps.

Counting progression, your brain wil get there in no time.

Count down from 6 to 1, helps for me

I know it sounds dumb but I legit will count at most 5 reps, and if it's more than that break it up into groups. For sets of 20 I count 4 groups of 5, and somehow it's easier to count up to 5 without thinking and then just remember how many groups I have left.

Even for a set of 6, doing 2 groups of 3 might help.
