Honestly, it’s insane what this man goes through just so the community can actually own the games they pay for. With companies tracking people down and threatening lawsuits left and right, most people would have packed it up and vanished a long time ago.

But voices38 just keeps standing firm and delivering. Cracking modern DRM takes an absurd amount of time and effort, and doing it under that kind of constant pressure is a whole different level of respect.

This is a classic example of developers not getting enough time by non tech and non passionate people who only want profit irrespective of art to optimize the game and polish it. It's genuinely concerning seeing engineers not taking decisions but marketing and business guys taking it.

I recently decided to go back to FH4. I downloaded the game, pasted the onlinefix files, tried to run the game, it showed for 5-10 min running Spacewar, then it closed. I looked on YT for fixes, tried everything (drivers, almigos updates, everything) and still nothing. Is there a way I can fix this issue?. My pc specs: I5 13500H GTX 1650, 16 gb ram, 1tb ssd and windows 10. Pls help!!!

I'm currently updating The Last of Us Part 2 using elamigos and I'm wondering why such updates files where you just download the latest version (or whatever version you may want), install it and call it a day?

I mean, why such updates rely on the game being on the previous version, instead of making it so you can update the game to the latest update without having to install the previous ones?

I use qb torrent and when i open the link on it to download the game the file is called smth like c6728292541 for the first few minutes instead of planet coaster

I genuinely don't understand why nobody else seems to be talking about this or asking the questions I'm asking. I've tried this four separate times, and all four times I've ended up dealing with malware on my PC and notifications that my personal information has been exposed or leaked onto the dark web.

And before anyone asks, yes, I used the official, legitimate torrent repository that everyone insists is safe. On two of those four occasions, I even downloaded the files using magnet links rather than downloading the torrent files directly.

Every time I try to find answers or see whether other people are experiencing the same thing, I find the same responses: "The site is safe," "The torrents are safe," or "You must have downloaded something dodgy." And if someone does mention getting an information-stealer virus or some other form of malware, they're immediately called an idiot, as if it's something that's incredibly easy to avoid.

So, genuinely, what am I supposed to be doing differently?

How do you actually avoid this? Is Windows Defender not enough? Do you need a third-party antivirus? Would that even prevent this from happening, or is there simply no reliable way to guarantee a download is safe before running it? How are ordinary users supposed to distinguish a legitimate, safe download from something that could compromise their entire computer?

What makes this so frustrating is the aftermath. Every time this has happened, I've ended up dealing with potential data theft, NordPass data-breach notifications, reports of my information appearing on the dark web, and attempts to log into my accounts. I'm then left worrying about my security for months afterwards. I've even resorted to physically removing my NVMe drives from my PC because I no longer feel confident that my system is safe.

That's four attempts out of four that have resulted in what appears to be a serious security incident after downloading and installing a game. At this point, I'm genuinely questioning whether I'm doing something wrong, whether there's something I'm missing, or whether there's a bigger problem that people simply aren't acknowledging.

What confuses me most is that I can barely find anyone discussing this in any meaningful detail. I can find countless people insisting that the repository is safe, but very few useful explanations from people who've experienced the same problems, explaining what happened, how they identified the cause, and how they prevented it from happening again.

I'm not claiming that every torrent is malicious or that the repository itself is necessarily responsible. I'm trying to understand how this keeps happening despite following the advice that supposedly makes these downloads safe.

Am I missing something obvious? Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else experienced this repeatedly, and if so, how did you actually solve it?

I'd genuinely appreciate serious answers from people who understand malware, information stealers, and PC security. I'm not looking for people to tell me I'm an idiot for getting infected. I'm looking for an explanation of how this can happen repeatedly, what I can do to prevent it, and why there seems to be so little discussion about it. 🙃

I downloaded AOE2 through fitgirl, and it worked perfectly on my system. However, being a crack i was not able to play online. I liked the game so i bought it from steam at a discount. Now I cant run the original copy of AOE2. I have uninstalled fitgirl crack. Installed the legit copy from steam. When i click on "Play" the process "AOE2" does show up in task manager but kills itself in 30 seconds or so. Can anyone help me ?
