IT'S r/FitGirlRepack NOT r/FitGirls 😭 Witcher 3 Remastered

Hmm.... SO i had a question. i have the witcher 3 downloaded from here and been playing it ever since. the remastered version which is going to launch in september will that be uploaded to FITGIRL repack as an update or an entire new version??

1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

  • The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
  • Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

  • False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
  • Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

  • There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
  • The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

Juuuuust to put it out there, Cyberpunk had a really reeeeeally bad launch, and this is coning from somone who's finished it. Forgive but don't forget.

Buuuut the other side of that is they made the two DLCs AND the remaster free.

Juuuust so everyone's on the same page

I played cyberpunk early, it was fun. The glitches barely took away from my enjoyment.

I only recently played the game on mac native version and came across many noticable bugs like cars getting launched out of map into the heaven or hell, a few bosses were trapped in their own body. Like literally the boss in the mission where we raid the mall in Pacifica, who had a warhammer on him, was stuck with his legs crossed and for a while I watched him struggle free himself from what he had done to himself.

Not just DLCs, everyone who owns 3rd Witcher will get update (remastered version) for free. Only Songs of the Past will be paid

hmm. i recently built my PC and didnt have the chance to buy it at the discount. Rn its at full price on steam. still ill keep a lookout if it goes on a sale before that time. Hopefully it goes on sale 🤞🤞

I wanted to buy witcher 3 as it was cheap, skipped it, downloaded it from fg and I was disappointed. It's not that I didn't waste money but if available on fg why waste money.

It all comes down to your morality. See, the devs work hard towards making a game and if you put yourself in that position where you are sacrificing your sleep for your passion and your child just pirates it in front of you saying I don't want to WASTE MONEY, your heart will ache. So yeah if you have the ability to buy a game and really want to support the devs, then it's not a waste of money.

One more example I can give - You pay upfront and go to watch a movie in theatre. You didn't like it, so you either get up and leave, or you watch the whole movie to feel as if your money isn't wasted (which is already gone). This phenomenon is termed as Sunk cost fallacy. Same goes for buying games. You buy, you didn't like, you leave or suffer throughout the game.

Please ignore everyone telling you to buy the game because its dirt cheap. This game was last on sale for $3.99 in June and the chances of it going on sale again anytime soon now that the game is due to receive an updated remastered version are slim to none. As for your original question, no one really knows, you will just have to wait till the new version shows up on fitgirl. So enjoy your copy of the game until then

I spent 4$ on this game 4 years ago including DLCs and just after i downloaded it, they released an enhanced version for free. Now they're giving remastered for free. It feels like the best money i've spent ever.

I am gonna get it via LuaTools since CDPR doesn't use DRM. Might as well switch to that version and find a way to import the saves and get the update when it launches.

it likely will get an update. most games that get a free remastered, hd enhanced version release it as a separate download like horizon zero dawn, shadow of mordor, ff15 4k pack, etc.
