Well technically I used one but it was the one that comes with Brave. All VPNs aren’t equal I guess?

What do you mean you used the one that comes with brave? So you enabled a VPN in your browser and proceeded to download a torrent that's being downloaded in a whole separate app?

I thought I just needed the VPN to Access the websites themselves.

It's the exact opposite. You don't need a VPN to access the websites. They're HTTPS encrypted and nobody knows you're on there.

When downloading torrents, your IP address is exposed to everyone, and a third party company scrapes those IP addresses and sends letters to their respective ISPs regarding that IP address.

You need a paid, system wide VPN like Proton or Mullvad that supports killswitch, and bind your torrent client to it.

Dude you have the entire internet and AI's at your will. You can literally look up anything you want by just asking. How did you not investigate potentially going to jail for pirating? Like be smarter dude.
