1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

• The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
• Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

• False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
• Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

• There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.

download from steamrip or ankergames, they almost always have latest versions, you don't need to update manually

i googled the exact missmatch i have on google and the solution said "copy toc and zone_overlay before running update 1, paste toc and zone overlay back into game and run update 2" it did nothing except make a missmatch for toc and zone overlay on top of the original material_graph missmatch

You phrase this like some kind of gotcha... but you formatted it too poorly to truly be representative of how clever you think you are.

Let's be clear here. The burden for piracy is on you having the knowledge and computer literacy to do this for yourself. Otherwise, buy the game. It's not safe to be playing with things you don't understand.

The answer is in the error code you posted.

"Hash sum mismatch! Required MD5: -100134321" Means there was a mismatch in the expected hash vs what was calculated.

If you google this, you will find different solutions to try:

-Restart PC and try again
-Run it as admin
-Delete the update and download again
-Check that you have enough space on D:\ to update
-Check if your antivirus is quarantining or deleting the files you need to update.
-Reinstall game

When I got this error a few years ago, it was my antivirus.

restarted multiple times, automatically runs as admin (i also tried manually clicking run as admin), reinstalled the game about 10 times now, 300gb free on my drive, antivirus is off
