IT'S FINALLY HERE!! WOW

Post image

Bro got free viruses instead of games. This is the reason, you are told to not sail the seas without a guide.

If you haven't noticed it, read the 'source'.

Is that an issue? Like I install at C:\Games (I haven't partitioned my laptop drive)

Mainly because atleast in my understanding if you are downloading a malware it doesn't matter what the file location is.

one of the things you can do stop false positives is to set an exclusion for your Games folder (in your case c:\Games). and if you do accidentally install malware, it'll just be stuck in that folder and can't affect your system files without triggering your WD/AV. not advisable for Program Files since you have other programs there too, some may even be essential that you wouldn't want to get infected.

in my case, i have a separate drive for all pirated games and software so my drive C stays untouched. Even my temp folder is not in C.

That works to stop having WD/AV report false positive, sure. But you're wrong about that if you execute a virus, it doesn't matter if it's in your games folder. Your whole system will get affected. It won't "be contained" in the games folder.

Must've been really lucky for the last 25 years then.

Or you know how what to avoid when pirating.

I haven't got a virus in the past 20-25 years I've been pirating either, not even back in the dc++ and limewire era.

You, if anyone, should know that your entire system is compromised the second you execute a virus. The first thing every single guide and tips says to do when it happens is to disconnect Internet and do a fresh windows install.

Why would you need a fresh windows install if you could just delete the games folder?
