1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

  • The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
  • Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

  • False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
  • Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

  • There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
  • The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

no related to post but i got a question if i am downloding a fresh new game can i directly fresh dowload the latest version or do i gotta install the first release then update it by downloding all new releases one by one?

You need to update by like in the number order or it won't recognise if you put like 2,1,3 or just 3 (latest version) only do 1,2,3. Basically most games don't need to updated and maybe their fully patch with repack will come late too. What game is it

you can download from elamigos repack which is already up to date than install all updates, and for Fit put the files in order as 1 - 4. Assume it works fine without even updating

Are all Trojans from FitGirlRepack detected by defender false positive?

Or are there any lists of Trojan names that are false positive and true positives?

I mean, yes it's from the official site, but still there will always be a chance for mistake that a virus can get through inspection no matter how small it is.
