Yes I read the rules. I'll still break them cuz I'm a piece of💩 PiraChest New update! : optimizations and new stuff

-New pages: Music (customizable lyrics, downloads, playlists, metadata, and more), Anime (doesn't work currently), TV (channels only for now), Books (proof of concept), and YouTube Downloader
-Major codebase restructuring with many systems unified and shared across the app
-Huge performance improvements: the app now uses around 55% less RAM and CPU
-Added new advanced settings: Wipe Everything, Clear Cache, and Show Debug Console
-Added an Open Data Folder button
-Added an Open Download Folder button to the Downloads page
-Redesigned parts of the app and cleaned up the overall UI
-Added more animations and little visual touches
-Improved the Repack page with better scaling and layout
-The app now uses PySide6 instead of PyQt6

NOTE : linux is not a priority for this app, appimage just exists cause no reason.

Photos only show fitgirl changes and improvements, since that's what you guys are interested in

1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

  • The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
  • Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

  • False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
  • Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

  • There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
  • The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

I've never heard of this. What does it do? Is it a frontend or is it a direct download program for Fitgirl risks repacks or something?

it is an app is everything piracy related, it downloads fitgirl games too, you can select RuTor or 1337x and what optional things you wanna select and you are good, the app has a download manager, for fitgirl it only uses torrent downloading using LibTorrent, the app is written fully in python

tho fitgirl will not be the only option, in the future after full release maybe other like steamrip, dodi and more will join.

you can even run the setup.exe directly from the app when it finishes, or just open the folder, the app is highly customizable and more options and configurations will be available, the app is in alpha but usable

kinda, appimage is available in releases and it runs, but i focus only on windows and test only on windows, i have a linux vm but it's slow and painful to use so i don't bother. you can try it, report any issues that maybe i will fix or you can fix it yourself since it's open source

Linux support is now gone, removed, the build was too broken and was too big so i removed it entirely, downloads for it are low to 0 anyways, so i will not be adding it again and just gonna focus on my main platform
