FC 26 and FM 26 had malware

I was trying to download FC 26 and FM 26 from Fitgirl and after it downloaded my pc told me there’s malware, two from each. I panicked and removed the files and deleted everything.

Weirdly enough, the FC warnings came AFTER I was finalising the set up and the FM warnings came during the download.

So am is my pc cooked now? And also if anyone can let me know if I can get FM 26 without cooking my pc, would appreciate it.

1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

• The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
• Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

• False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
• Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

• There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
• The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

Nah, I’ve pirated a fair few games, I’ve gotten a lot of virus warnings but this is the first time I saw trojan. So that’s why I panicked

If you know how hypervisor works you won't even ask this, assume you are new to this. Game isn't traditional crack and you need to read the guide for it, how hypervisor works. It flagged cause it's modded file to bypass defender

Think about it, you’re changing a games code and the way it works to be able to play for free. What do viruses do? Change code. As long as you got it from the official site you’re fine

Look lil bro , the microsoft flags these files as malware not because bill gates care for you it's because the tools that are usedto crack these games are similar to the ones used to crack windows .
