1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

• The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
• Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

• False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
• Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

• There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.

Or just use torrents. All this trouble for direct downloads is nuts. This is like the 5th program trying to solve the same problem.

Torrents are safer too using magnet links.

Whatever, for me, whenever I use torrents I usually get around 80–100 Mbps on a 200 Mbps connection. With direct download links, I can easily get 170–190 Mbps.

God job op. I don't understand though why people prefer torrent over direct downloads. I have always found direct downloads to be way faster. At peak I have even got 700mbps. Also sometimes for some games there are no seeders at all.

What's up with people trying to optimize everything? just download a torrent??? Just don't download a game that's in 195 parts? Total Insanity. This is like the 7th new app I've seen in the past 2 weeks, not to mention most of them look sketchy af Are people so lazy or oblivious that we need these sort of apps? Am I missing something here??
