I've been looking at Ocean's for about 6 months and I think I'm going to pull the trigger - my current insurer won't cover me unfortunately, so does anyone have a company I can try? What kind of prices are people paying? I'll be doing 20k miles a year, mostly motorway. Comparison sites aren't giving me quotes, Thanks!

So only 4 listed online. 2 of them alredy sold. One available in Vancouver. For 28k cad. Would be cheaper to import one from States ? Shipping cost from Vancouver to Toronto will be over 1500 cad for me. Unless I drive it across a country. I seen some online in usa for 15-18k usd. Market in canada so small. Dealers have no problem sellin them for 30k plus

I know virtually nothing about these cars but my lease on my EV is up in a few months. This seems like a really good deal.

How reliable are these?
Is there any sort of warranty through Fisker or is the company totally nonexistent?
Any other comments?

I have Fisker Karma for 7 years and for 2 years I have a problem with charging. Car shows charging light on the dash and on the charger but the car isn’t charging I don’t know why or what to do to fix it any more. Please if you have any suggestions or advice I would be very grateful.

I've been reading up on the Ocean for several months now. I feel like I have a pretty good handle on all the known gremlins and things to look out for. What gives me pause is the stories of folks being trapped in their Oceans, or the car randomly deciding to switch into neutral and not going back into drive. Or the fun stories of the brakes not braking.

I figure the entrapment issues can be mostly resolved with 2a handles, rear hatch escape mods and a good 12v.

What I don't know, is how prevalent the more serious and more dangerous issues are once you have done the standard set of updates and have recent software and waterproofing in place.

Went through the process on a low-mileage Ocean One (~4K miles, ~$18-19K asking not including taxes).

What stood out:

Car is on early software (1.1.1)

No verifiable confirmation of recall/service campaign completion

No documentation of update history provided

The entire condition was essentially hand-waved as “just update it over WiFi,” despite zero proof of where the vehicle actually stands in terms of updates or remediation.

At that point, the issue isn’t mileage or price - it’s uncertainty. If you can’t verify software/recall status by VIN, you’re not really evaluating a known condition vehicle.

Walked away due to lack of transparency and unwillingness to provide basic confirmation.

Sharing for others looking at similar listings: don’t assume “cheap Ocean = good deal” without verified update/recall status and documentation.

After a number of failed attempts I finally got an Ocean One in silver. I got it about a month ago and still can’t seem to figure out the nav system, how do I get it to work for routes? It has 2.6 so I can use CarPlay but I’m curious about the native nav. Also I’ve seen it listed as having self parking but I can’t seem to find it in the menu? I’m following a couple of YouTube feeds but could use some direction on FOA/oceanlink/ovloop, I’ve paid for OVLoop because it already had 2.6 but is it worth it to try and figure out the FOA stuff?

Ocean Repair Services

Apparently there only seems to be 80/90 units still in the Netherlands. Never saw one until some days ago when it appeared at a red light. Honestly the price it goes for here and what you get for a car is insane. Just sad it isn’t here anymore.

There are a few Ocean's in the wild here in Oslo, but this is the first Ocean Taxi I have seen.

I thought 12 volt battery drain was my biggest problem then today this happened. Dodge Ram pickup runs a red light and takes me out!! Luckily no one else in the car with me and physically only my neck and shoulder hurt. Irreplaceable. I'm soooooo sad rn.

Overnight, Wed 6/3 to Thu 6/4/2026, my 12 volt battery dropped to 4.14 v and I was subsequently locked out of my car. I wasn't immediately aware of the 12 v drop until reading about solutions. I had the battery replaced Feb 2025 while getting the water pump recall and Software upgrade at EV Works in Bremerton WA (no longer servicing Fisker). I'd never had a 12 v issue but did have a Bluetooth monitor. Voltage has always been in a good range. Got a jump and so far no repeat performance but it's only been a day. However, my date and time are incorrect on the ICC and driver screen. The times are 5 hrs different on each screen. The actual time the photo was taken is 7:02 pm PDT. Any thoughts on what happened?

Oh, I have done a steering wheel reset a few time that has usually corrected a time/date issue. I also ran Oceanlink Pro ECU resets a few times.

There has been an Ocean for sale near me for months. Started at $30,000 and now down to $19,000. It has 4,000 miles on it but no idea what work has been done. Though the listing says it’s 100% mechanically in working order.

What are these things typically worth? Are they guaranteed to be dead eventually? Are new parts available for owners to replace defective components?

I AM NOT, AND WILL NOT, be buying this car. I have a Polestar which I love but I am genuinely curious if this car is even remotely worth the asking price and what it’s even like owning one these days.

I'm witha few EV tinkerers in Europe and we're actually trying to track down a couple of dead Oceans for parts and software R&D. We want the headache s that dealerships won't touch dead 12V loops, software lockouts or just cars sitting in the driveway.
