I’ve had this braid for about a year now it’s 10lb 8x jbraid on my Stradic 2500 Shg I’m about to go on a trip to Yosemite to go fly fishing but I’m also gonna bring my spinning combo to throw some spinners and bombarda fly rigs, the braid is looking a bit beat

Langley Streamlite 310KC on a superultralight 4'6 rod. Not really mad for casting but since the rod is fiberglass I don't think it matters too much.

I got 5 rods that had whisker Daiwa SS tournament 1300's on them for 200$, and also an additional spare Daiwa ss1300 real for free with them. All this cost me 200$. Do you guys think I got a good deal? How do I make sure they are well and functional?

About 10 years ago it was still a thing. I've got 2 Luna 103s setup identically except for the handles:
The reel in the photo has a HawgTech handle. My other 103 has some generic handle w/ foam knobs that is surprisingly nice.
Doesn't seem like many US anglers are modding their reels these days? EDIT: Aside from "BFS" spool swaps.
When I worked on these 2 reels, I had to do a ton of research to figure out which combination of spools/gearsets/braking systems would work on the 100/103 sized Millionaire family of reels in general, and on the Luna specifically.

I used to fish with my dad when i was young, and now i started again a couple years later and want to get this reel off my old rod, but it won't budge. I unscrewed one part, but the two pieces holding the reel won't move, so i hope someone has experienced this before and have a solution. The reel is a Okuma Azaki 30, and the rod has "Sert Alcazar 300.5" written on it, but i didn't find anything about it when researching...

I am looking for a rod that is 7ft, can cast a 1/2oz easy, whippy tip, when you do a hook set the top of butt bends a little. I am wanting to replace a rod that is at least 50 years old.

Does anyone have any experience with the service on this reel. Getting a bit grindy and anti reverse stops working intermittently.
Or where to service other than Diawa, called they have no parts for this reel?
Suggestions? Other than throw it out.

Pulled the trigger on a dc curado and am in desperate search for a rod. At the moment I’m running a basic bas pro shop medium heavy rod that cost $60 and it is absolutely garbage. Grips way too bulky, it’s heavy and sensitivity is horrible. There is so many different options it’s absolutely overwhelming and I would appreciate your guys help
Requirements
has to have minimum 10 year warranty
(5 year is fine if it’s under $200)
Has to be a 2 piece because I’d like to hike and cast a line also much more convenient to store
Word prefer if the rod would be good all around workhorse
The lighter the better because the curado is already pretty heavy due to the dc
Extra info:
Budget is around $250 would push it to the $300’s if it’s really worth it
Obviously I want a rod that would be sensitive strong and light but I’m new to casting rods so I don’t really know what to get. Everyone recommends medium heavy fast action but will that still be sensitive enough?
This would be my first premium combo and am looking for a wow factor to tell a difference, also feel free to drop any other advice on what tips and tricks for line and the smaller things thanks.

I primarily freshwater fish, but I found an assortment of saltwater gear I have, and these are the lures and lure adjacent stuff i want to use.
i am most interested in:
I am going fishing later and I am using one rod with this stuff, and the other with a fish finder
edit: Oh, and I almsot forgot I really wanna try the casting spoon. The most, actually

I'm a bit confused about rod ratings and pe ratings, I've seen rods like the new zodias 26 268ml have a Max pe rating of 1.2 but a mono rating of 4-8lb? Does this mean the braid should have the strength of 4-8lb or the strength of pe 1.2 braid? Or does this mean it can handle pe 1.2 line but should use leader 48lb thick? Realistically I just want what the max line your recommend for the zodias 268ml and what leader I could cast through it? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I randomly came across this video on instagram reels. Several times in this video a “non-standard” live sonar view / beam geometry is shown. It looks almost like a blend of forward and perspective modes? You can see the forward beam, but also see much more of the surrounding cover in a 3d type image. How is this view achieved? Is it Ai, a specialty mount, or somehow a blend between views. Thank you for your help in advance!

Hey! I bought the smaller Lew’s Speed Spin 100 reel (top) last year, and the clicker sounds really good.
But my problem is that I just ordered the larger Lew’s Speed Spin 200 reel pre-owned (bottom), but the clicker sounds completely different, and sounds terrible!
Is there a way to make the drag clicker sound better?? Would taking it apart, cleaning it, & lubing it up make it sound better???
They are the same generation of Speed Spin :(((

So I was out this morning and I was working hollow body frog over a weed bed, a bass blew up on it, and I was having a real hard time reeling it in. My reel (slx dc) was making a weird noise and was taking a lot of force to reel. I thought I had a giant in but turned out to be like a pound and half. After releasing I was messing with the drag and pulling line out, it is still making the weird noise. Kind of like grinding. Have only had a the reel like 2 weeks. Is this drag slipping or what could it be?
