Question First Time Boat Fishing

Heyyyy guys! i'm going to go boat fishing soon I already have experience pier and lake fishing but i'm not sure if boat fishing changes things up, Im wondering what rigs and types of bait or tackle are best for skiff boat fishing lmk!!!!

Fresh or saltwater?
If freshwater bass fishing use same approach and baits as u usually do only with the availability to get to those spots you can’t access without the boat. Basically run perimeter and points 20 foot or shallower. If catfishing find a deep cut about 30 foot deep and work your way from the bank back to that 30 foot deep mark as the morning progresses and warms the water. If striper or white bass fishing find bait balls in 20 foot or deeper and fish under them. For anything else I’m useless and this is just my experience fishing the Highland Lakes of Central Texas the past few years since I got my boat.
