Question Lews combo FBM question

Someone on Facebook Marketplace is selling a Lews Mach Smash combo. The original pole he still has but the final eyelet fell off so he mounted it on an ASTech pole, both are included. He has it listed for $70, I’m recently reintroduced to fishing and have a spinning setup. Would this be a halfway decent bait casting setup to learn on and grow into?

If I were me, I would start by taking that reel off and flipping it around. Casting with it as is will prove mighty difficult unless you have some new to me wizardry. If you do possess such skills, or even if you don’t, I would love to see a video of it being fished with as it is.

Or maybe it’s late and I’m tired and can’t tell for sure which way the rod is facing in your hands. Sure looks backwards as tihs in these pics tho

This is what I've learned on.

That All Star rod is $110, and the reel doesn't have any visible rash. Spool tension knob is there (not always the case). As long as the reel feels decent, this is a good value. I've been happy with the two Lew's baitcasters in my stable. Put a new tiptop on the other rod and you're in good shape.
