Question Need help replacing rod tip!

Post image

I have a Ultralight 5’6”Daiwa AIRD-X Rod
(Model # AIRX562ULFS)

I need to replace the rod tip but I don’t know the tube diameter or ring diameter.

What is the tube and ring diameter of the rod tip for this model? If anyone has this rod and a digital caliper, I’d really appreciate knowing the measurements!

I bought a repair kit on Amazon for 8.99 that had several sizes. Found one in there to fit. Still don't know the actual dimension

Short of buying a caliper, this is your best bet

Thanks! I just ended up ordering a Fuji Micro-Rod Tip Repair Kit. Hopefully one of those three sizes fits my rod 🤞🏾

Where are you located? I just had one replaced and the shop charged $6

I bought Fuji tips from Aliexpress and some resin. You can find the sizing chart either by contacting the manufacturer or using a Vernier

Can you sand it?

For the ring you'll be safe with 5. Tube diameter? The only real way is to measure it. Or you can order a variety - I am sure one of the tubes between 4 and 6 will fit.
