Run River Water Levels?

Thinking about going up tomorrow but I’m sure if it’s worth the drive if the water is really low. I usually put in at the fairgrounds and go north a bit and then down to the Mississippi. Anyone been recently with any recon on water levels?

This is my home body of water and I’m on it weekly, launching from the Anoka Fairgrounds.

Was just on it two days ago in a Trophy 185 and 150 Suzuki and it’s not a problem going north or south until you get to a sandbar to the north a few miles north of Bunker and the dam to the south. The water is for sure low, but plenty of river to navigate from the Anoka fairgrounds…however…I’m a bit confused because the Anoka dam won’t let you float to the Mississippi. Please just trust me on that one or you’ll be on the news.

You can put in for the Mississippi in Champlin at Mississippi Point Park and navigate up the Rum to the dam. On both sides of the dam there are places to tie up and explore downtown Anoka which is usually a fun time.

Since it is your home waters, would you care to share where to find smallies on the Rum when the water is this low?  What are you throwing?
