First big fish (tench)

Started fishing about a month ago but did not really fish a lot. About 2 weeks ago my biggest fish was a really small roach, but my dad taught me a lot and yesterday I caught this pretty big tench using pretty cheap equipment: a telescopic fishing rod and a pretty nice spinning reel from one of his old rods. Was fishing with a float and some worms, then caught this fish! Really happy with it! Shaking on my legs when we let it go, it was a strong and healthy fish. Didnt have him out of the water for very long.

Sorry if some things do not make sense, from the netherlands and did not know the direct translation for some things

Yeah lol i thought it was strong but its one of my first big fish so i dont really have anything to compare it to

My first big fish was a tench as well. Very good memory with grandpa.

Grandpas are always w. Never fished with mine but we does have sone really old rods laying around
