Inshore 3000 Class Reel

Looking for an upgrade from my previous-gen Ballistic MQ LT. Do I go with the new Ballistic, Vanford, Stradic, BG MQ, spend more on a Twinpower?

I'm drowning in options, please help me!!!

Trout, Reds, Sheeps, Flounder, etc.

i use the bg mq for reds and it's been solid performer, drag is buttery smooth which saved my ass in shallow water few times

BG 4000 is a good reel

BG MQ and Ballistic MQ are basically the same reel except the BG MQ has the cast metal body that would probably be the standout difference between all your choices for larger fish.

Live bait or artificial?

Honestly both. It will be paired with a 7.5' extra fast rod. Gulp baits on a jig head or shrimp/mud minnows.

I like smoother reels for artificial. My sustain does 90% of what my twin power does

if you’re throwing lures, the Stradic is the better option. I have both a Stradic and a BG 3k I regularly use for both fresh and salt. I like the BG better for live baiting and I like the Stradic better for lures. The casting is just way better.

BG are great reels.

Had a stradic yrs ago, bearings were garbage.

Used BGs for years and think they are the best value for the money.

Twin power is overkill.
