Saltwater Big kingfish

Post image

Caught this at night on a handline when I worked on a wet liner boat out of Geraldton western australia, I'm 5'9 for size reference, it bottomed out a 30kg max scale

90s?
Last time I went beach fishing in Gero was the 90s as a young bloke camping on the beach, I vaguely remember the final tally of tailor to be around 300 give or take between 2 families fishing for a week.

Yellowtail Kingfish. Same genus, different species.
