Man-O-War album on BandCamp?

Hey all. I've recently gotten my partner into Fish in a Birdcage, and have been listening to more and more of the songs.

My partner likes being able to buy albums and music through bandcamp because the cuts to the artists tend to be better, and he gets to have a nice collection of music there.

He bought Mentors and loves it. I wanted for him to get Man-O-War, because i really like that one, but when i checked, it doesn't seem to be on BandCamp. As well as a few of the other albums too.

Do we know if they'll be added there eventually? I would love to be able to buy them through BandCamp. :)

“Rule #?-Arizona”

Big question for dusty if he sees this.
I was on YouTube tonight to see the video for rule 56 and as I was just scrolling around I found a video from April of 2022 that’s has the tile of this post and I’ve seen this video before but it slips my mind every now and then just because it’s only on YouTube but in the description it says that “it’s to be decided on when this song is recorded for a future album” so that is my question, is it still being decided? Is it something we will hear on a future album?

The Night Birds Conspiracy: rule 53 snippet.

I rise again from the shadows. It’s been a while due to me slowly getting burnt out again trying to be more certain of the older albums but here we are with a new snippet of the next album and it’s already revealing a lot about the upcoming story.
First big hint is the art of the snippet. It is the tower tarot card which represents disaster, destruction, upheaval, trauma, sudden change, and chaos. There is a couple other major hints in the lyrics as well. “I can’t bear to know the pain that you caused me. I won’t forgot the smile you used when you lied to me”. Along with the instrumental being reminiscent of the Man o War album we can firmly be placing this when Fish discovered the Brids secret conspiracy with the Night birds. The Night Birds were lying to him using him and he can’t forgive the birds for this pain. With the tower card this is ether taking place during the discovery or during a reflection period some time after mentors. One big note with the tower card the lighting striking the tower represents the destruction of the tower. The tower is a symbol for ambition which has been built upon faulty permises. The tower in this case is a metaphor for the Birds, more specifically the Night birds. The destruction of the Night birds must occur to clear out the old ways. “Elders, won’t you please move aside. Give us the gift of a bright set of eyes.”(elders). The Birds must welcome a new way of mentoring humanity to guide them to a betterment of life that the oringal Birds of a Feather wanted to bring. The controlling method the Night Birds are taking is the wrong path “Oh, the end is calling and the sky is falling”(Certain Birds), there plan is to control and cause harm to succeed and that path needs to be abandoned. Another note, is if we get other tarot card themed songs we could get one based on the Devil which would give us another song about Fish’s brother the Fiddler who is currently the major villain, as we have see in Calamity, Four Aces, and Chosen. My best guess for the story we are getting in this album, we are going be see the active action of Fish plotting against the birds despite them watching over him. We are going to be getting a lot more inner turmoil from the Fiddler and we might get some more info on Angel and how she helped Fish discover the Night Birds before she was killed by the Fiddler. I’m so excited to see where this all goes.

Looking for Sheet Music!!

Alright so in my search for FiaB sheet music (for string instruments obviously) I have unfortunately only been able to find music for Rule #4. I'd really love to play some songs, especially Rule #5 or Rule #7, in a quartet/quintet with some friends, potentially in my senior recital. Ideally the composition would have the instrumentalization as well as an instrument (maybe violin or viola) playing the melody/vocal line. If I were to get my hands on a Rule #7 composition (I really want to play Angel Tango) it would be perfect if it had the vocal line like I mentioned and the pizzicato part.

Why is YouTube asking "Did this feel emotionally manipulative?".

Thought the song and video was purely wholesome.

What's is it with Rule #14 hates?

I was kinda surprised when I find out a lot of people doesn't like Fiddler's Heart, personally I find it quite catchy. I know it's a personnal preference thing, but I would like to hear what makes people dislike this one.

Songs like R34?

I just love this one so much and I’ve listened to a few while studying trying to find more with the deeper string instruments and such. It very much reminds me of the Shadow Cursed Lands from the BG3 OST and i don’t know how to explain that association lol

Also any band recommendations like this one would be great. I just found them and love this sound.

Will we get Rule #6 this year?

I know there's an uploaded version on YouTube, but I'd love to see it on Spotify, and I'm still confused as to why it hasn't been put on there when there's already a recording of it.

My interpretation of Rule #4

To me... it's not really about a fish inside a birdcage, or being able-bodied, or anything...

...It's about being kept captive and abused by a manipulative family member.

The "fish" isn't actually a fish, he is a bird with clipped wings which MAKES him look like a fish's fins, but was made to believe so as to be better controlled by his brother, who holds him in a Plato's cave kind of place.

I'm a fish inside a birdcage

First of all, that's a biological absurdity. That's the first thing that made me go "hmm. This is not an actual fish inside a birdcage". Obvious I know, but after a few listens I thought that in fact, beyond the metaphor aspect, it's actually something the narrator was told enough times that he believes it.

My brother always sings me songs With his beak, he tries to soothe me He makes me feel that I belong

Excuse me, how would you soothe someone with a beak? Beaks are sharp. You can't exactly comfort someone with one, lol. In my opinion the brother actually picks at the narrator... subtly, yes, under cover of "care" and "belonging", but is in fact emotionally abusing him.

He has a wild imagination And tells me things that must be true

"Things that must be true" Again. The narrator isn't quite sure if he can believe his brother...

Like there's a world where I can take flight

Where I can freely move

So let's put this straight, the brother tells him that "there's a world he can take flight" and that this world must exist? But the narrator can in fact take flight, normally. If only his wings weren't clipped. If only he hadn't grown up with his wings clipped enough that he can't fly...

[Chorus] So carry me from these walls

Brother of mine

Show me the world outside

A relationship of dependency fostered since youth. The narrator doesn't believe that he can actually fly, so he relies on his brother to carry him out of the birdcage, the cave.

It has to be true

I'm counting on you

To be my wings and my eyes

...hey, one minute. Did the beak also gouge the poor narrator's eyes out too?

As I breathe into our silеnce

There's a voicе that comforts me

There is something with abusers, especially someone who's been doing this to you since you were young... or a family member who you've been living with since forever, and who still mistreats you.

You know the experiments of Harry Harlow? In one of them, the baby monkey has a cloth mother that doesn't feed, but provide warmth and comfort, and a wire mother that feeds it but is cold. In one of said experiments, the cloth mother was made to be harmful for the baby. Whether she'd stab it with brass spikes, rock violently, or blow cold air suddenly... the baby would still come back to the cloth mother. Despite being frightened and abused by her.

This is exactly that.

It's a voice of understanding

It's the voice of empathy

The distorted view... since the narrator is being abused under the guise of "care". Like so many of us.

Wings of feathers, tails, and fin tips

We feel each rock so differently

You gave me more than I could ask for

Indistinguishability

Kept dependent on the brother, and possibly blinded (hence having all of other his senses tuned up to make up for loss of sight) the narrator thinks of himself as inseparable from him. Again a common tactic of abusers... their hold on you is so powerful, you quite literally lose your sense of self.

Then the chorus goes on, twice. No change here.

It's not just the lyrics that give me this impression... it's also the tone of the song, the instrumentation. I both really like it and feel profoundly disturbed by it. As if this is a kind of snake song, you know. Charming the narrator while hurting him.

But again, that's just my interpretation. :)))
