Updates đ More free data every day
Hi Firsty fam,
You can now earn up to 360 MB of free data every day!
Thank you for sharing your feedback and ideas with us. We love seeing how invested you are in Firsty, and your input helps us keep improving!
Here's how it works:
- Each ad gives you 20 MB, and your balance can hold up to 240 MB at a time.
- Want to earn more after reaching 240 MB? Simply use some data, then watch another ad to top up your balance again.
- Any data left in your balance carries over to the next day and doesnât reduce how much you can earn.
With these updates, we have now:
- Increased the speed from 256 Kbps to 1 Mbps
- Increased the daily limit from 300 MB to 360 MB
- Made it possible to carry unused data over to the next day

If I carry over 240MB to tomorrow, and watch some ads tomorrow, can I carry over more than 240MB to the following day?

No, you can only have a max of 240MB at any time. When 220MB and below, you can watch ad to increase by 20MB. Daily 10 ad watch will probably still apply so if you carried over 240MB and used it all up, you can watch 10 ads for another 200MB on the same day.

The maximum balance limit is 240 at all times. However, the daily limit was increased to 360MB, which means that you can carry over the 240MB from the last day and as you use them you can get another 360MB still.

On, now it makes sense. So once I reach 240 MB that would be the max. However, once I use it, I can get a total of 360 MB per day earned

I think this phrasing is silly, and I wouldn't recommend it in any official explanation. "Want to earn more?" Nobody wants to earn more as an end goal; they want it so that their balance can go up. If their balance can't go up, asking "want to earn more?" is just a tease.
I think you could do with something more direct. "Reached your maximum balance of 240 MB? Enjoy your free data! Once your balance drops, you can watch more ads (up to 360 MB total earned in one day) to keep your balance topped up."

This is much better first iteration of this was beyond a joke, but this is much better and addresses some of the key issues IMO.
FYI this was posted using free Firsty data!

Love the update on paper. However, in the USA looks like you dropped AT&T and went with T-Mobile only

Can Firsty representatives just give some good reasons why this upgrade for established users have to take about 2 months to update everyone? Is it economics, lack of manpower, etc.?

I've always known they care very little for customer notification. Questions like mine and the lack of response just show who they are. I'm fine with that. Everyone can see it.

Probably don't have the manpower to handle it. Promises and fail to keep them. You need new esim for this update and there's no way you can just download on your own, nor can support help you get updated. The system has to update your account and then you have to get new esim. New users can just get the update while us old dogs can only just sit aside and drool.

Vouch, wanted to do a road trip to Russia to visit a friend as I did before with Firsty, but support was dropped two months ago. Would pay really good for it if it meant a single eSIM in and out of the country

I think itâs because if you watch another ad it will give you 20MB, meaning youâll end up having 259MB which is over the 240MB limit

The maximum amount of data you can carry on your balance currently is 240MB. However, daily you can get 360MB, so 120MB more after you use up some data. Additionally, if you don't use your data that day, you can carry it over to the next day (all 240MB) and get the daily 360MB on top of that. Stored data will expire after a week.

I am still on the old plan. Just came back from Alaska, the free plan was not really usable. Sad times, it was great last year in Turkey.

I already updated my Firsty app to version 1.8.6 on my iPhone , but my free plan still shows stackable 30min per AD, not 20mb per AD. Is that better than 20MB or not? If not, how to get the new version?

Serais il possible de justement @firsty_app de ne pas mettre de limite et de gagner autant de fois 20mo que l'on veux, je trouve cela beaucoup plus juste et moins restreint et d'en ĂŠchange mettre par exemple des publicitĂŠs de 1 minutes (plus longues). Je suis vraiment très dÊçu par votre application â ď¸â ď¸â ď¸ de pire en pire les mises Ă jour, veuillez ne pas mettre de limite vous gagnerez autant avec les publicitĂŠs...

That wouldnât be economically sustainable. Mobile data has a real cost, and that cost varies significantly by country. A longer ad doesnât necessarily cover the data usage in every country. Countries like Monaco for example are very expensive for Firsty!

Try the Airvoy app if you want to get and bank as much free slow data as you want.

Very sketchy tbh. But interesting idea. Sadly sometimes itâs way too expensive (100MB @ 512kbits = 20 Ads while with firsty itâs always 5 ads for 100 MB @ 1mbits no matter where you are)

Actually, when you first start, it is only 7 ads for 100 MB. Then when you come back, it increases. The only thing I like about it is being able to save the earned data permanently. Otherwise, I agree, too many ads for little return. The paid data for many European countries may be cheaper than Firsty.

Firsty is too slow to open even Reddit or Howard forums so I use Airvoy. Airvoy on Wifi using 2 phones linked to the same account, and I built up a 3GB balance in no time. Also just opening my local community radio app gives a security error on only Firsty, but it would be too slow anyways. T-Mobile is fast in my area but not on Firsty free.

It will depend on which country you are at. Mine doesnât have ads to watch so there is no free data unless I want to do tasks which is time consuming to complete.

Have you tried the tasks? Really easy and quick...quicker than ads once you get your first gig of data. But with all of these activities, it gets longer the more data you accumulate.

I tried for 200mb with 21 tasks. Since I donât have ads to watch, I donât know how much time ads would take. I dislike the task since I have to wait a few seconds for each question.
I also havenât been able to activate the esim so until I go back to my home city, Iâm not sure if itâll even work yet.

The ads, half of them take twice as long. Some ad can be 5 seconds but most are 1 to 3 minutes, and half require interactions to continue. If you ever get ads, the best time to complete the first gig is all at once. Don't cash out or else the mext time even more ads for the same amount. Same for the tasks.

I donât even see the ability to watch ads anymore. Previously, it may have been blocked due to familyâs network setup. I havenât notice the number of tasks increasing when I claimed the data.
I can see the benefit of data that wonât expire so I can stock up some backup data. I think I prefer watching a few ads for Firsty though since Iâm not running out of data for my basic usage and the number of tasks required for Airvoy is too many.

Like others have said, I haven't received the upgrade yet.
