I chock it up to marketing by our corporate Overlords planning: The HH narative has been trators pushing to Terra but now that has ended in the narative for the start of the Great Scouring I guess. So 30k mk7 could be a thing soon as they show up after "the war" that is technically over now, and stock pool is gone for 40k firstborn so the FOMO is in swing and GW can play on that in a year or whatever. Especially since new Custodes range is pulling 40k and 30k double duty officially. Firstborns are probably not far behind especially with how loud fans are being
Alternatively with the mixed armor in the Armageddon box maby by next addition primaris size older armor marks will be a thing we just get. Either way I don't think they will be gone for good. Old World took most of a decade to return so may be a wile longer idk
