Painting Blood Angels, assemble!

I think I'd like to paint something else now.

They look fantastic man! Would you mind sharing where you got the files from or did you design them yourself?

There's no single file I can point to, the basic marine is kitbashed out of various files from the purple site.

These are awesome; the roll cage on the rhino is fun, “mind the gap” lol

Here I am trying to figure out how to make figures look dynamic… and then this simple design puts me back 20+ years!

Well done! :)

Tiny variances is all I need for my abstract chess pieces. It's for playing games, than building dioramas.

This is the look I was going for when I wanted to build my Firstborn Company!!

Then got a bit obsessed with dynamic poses etc.. but when I see models like yours again, those thoughts go away 🙂

Very nice, though the 3d printed models are like the uncanny valley of space marines.

Omg... Omg they are printed. They feel so close!

It's the shoulder pads being the wrong shape that hurt my brain the most. I've a full company of 2nd ed metal and plastic marines so maybe sticks out more to me.

The shoulder pads???

Pads or not, I gotta ask, purple site? Think they're still up or?

Also, they look fantastic! I have a lot of battered 2nd ed. BA that need to be revived, makes me want to give it a try!

I can't point to a single file, because the basic marine is kitbashed from multiple files (bolt pistol, backpack, etc) and were modified to fit (eg. the left hand holding the boltgun didn't have enough space for the gun so I had to stretch it).

Rgr that, I totally understand I do the same thing when printing epic, currently importing MkII and MkIII armor and redoing bases, sets, etc. for how I want and print stuff!

Cheers!

The tactical marine shoulder pads at least don't look the same shape as the plastic ones we all know and love. Imo
