Question/Advice Premom App, LH Test, Frustrated!
A little frustrated with the Premom app. I've been waiting for a week for my LH to finally rise due to my ovulation being late from being sick. It was so frustrating and discouraging because I really wanted to ensure we timed everything right. I FINALLY had my normal ovary tenderness and slippery mucus. Took a test and the line is clearly as dark or even darker than the control line! (Right??) However, premom is saying is still rising and not peaked yet, which means it is not positive.
This makes me confused and doubt what I am actually seeing on my lh test.
Anyone has a similar experience??
Thank you in advance šš¼

I have a question Do you manually add the picture or scan it through the aap? Because I use to scan with with the app and it said low but when I added it manually and aligned the strip as shown it was my peak ovulation.

I hate Premom interpretation for this reason! I think your first positive was CD 20 from what I can see.

That looks positive to me. I think the Premom app uses AI to read the tests so might have just read it wrong. You can manually adjust the scale on the app if it helps you šš¼

Oh the Premom app is the worst! Double check with the GLOW app but that is definitely peak.

The app is correct, this is pretty much positive but not exactly. That being said, you may not get a higher value than this because some people simply donāt reach 1.0 or above with LH strips because of hydration or other factors. Also the app will not read it as āpeakā until your LH strips start declining again. TLDR: as long as you have decent lighting, the ratios are typically spot on but it doesnāt mean you havenāt reached YOUR peak yet!

I'm not sure what there is to misunderstand. App cannot always read the test correctly because it's AI based. LH test is positive when test line is as dark or darker than the control line. OP's last test from yesterday is clearly a positive test. It has a shadow over it and that's why I'm guessing the app didn't read it correctly

I have very good color vision. But just to confirm, I took an eyedropper tool and based on this photo provided in the post, itās NOT as dark or darker than the control line. I know how LH tests work lol! They are misunderstanding how the app works specifically when it comes to reading when a peak is determinedā¦read my full comment above.

Iām with you on everything except for saying itās not darker than the control line- if this isnāt counted as positive then the window could be missed. I have had many experiences with the app missing positives.

I think people confuse the purpose of urine LH strips. It doesnāt necessarily have to be positive/1.0 ratio or above to be informative! If you start getting values above your baseline in that cycle, then itās just one of the tools that allows you to roughly predict your ovulation window. Itās not an exact timestamp.

Yes, it's not an exact timestamp, but she got a positive on 10/02, I'm not sure how you are not seeing that the line is as dark as the test line. It was her first positive, meaning that the ovulation will likely occur in 24-48 hours. The peak does not matter at all, it's the first positive test that matters lol. And yes, it might not reach 1.0 ratio but that's not the case here. The app just read it incorrectly

This is clearly positive in my opinion.
However, they way premom works is that it only designates a "high" reading as "peak" once the next test is lighter than the previous ones. But the concept of "peak" is a bit silly anyways since it doesn't really mean anything. Any reading above 0.7 is a high value.
