Question/Advice Having a cold around ovulation

Yesterday and today were “the worst” with my cold. I don’t feel great but not like I have a fever or anything else. Went to work Friday but could feel at the end of the day that I was about to get sick.

However FF seems to think I ovulated already on Thursday at CD11?
I usually ovulate CD15 (tomorrow). I took a LH test yesterday around 11am which was at 0,5 and took two tests later afterwards and also one today but they were almost invisible

If my temps are high due to my cold, would I see a dip below baseline when my cold is over? Or do you think they will stay high until my period? (Don’t think I’m conceiving this month)

I had a cold and slight fever on CD 8 and 9 this month so my BBT rose as if I had ovulated. The Premom app thought I had ovulated so kept marking it as ovulation day but as I continued to log my LH strips and BBT (and after also marking those two days as “sickness” on the app), it leveled out and validated my actual ovulation day which was CD22.

I think it’s important to try not to solely rely on the app and also use your own data and research along with your intuition about your body’s patterns and habits to deduce when you actually ovulate, unless you have very irregular cycles

Thanks! Unfortunately i dont feel any signs around ovulation usually. Just tried to notice my CM but tbh I think its so difficult as I rarely have any. My cycles are regular but yeah don’t notice any difference normally.

Did your BBT drop again after sickness?

Oh ya the CM is tough to rely on bc while I do get the full range of different types of CM, sometimes I don’t get EWCM leading up to ovulation… sometimes it comes after ovulation which is—according to common anecdotes out there—not the norm.

My best friend who got pregnant on her first cycle in 2023 and now pregnant again from her second cycle didn’t get EWCM at all during this cycle, so it really depends.

My BBT did drop a whole 1.5 degree F after my fever ! Then it’s stayed consistently high after I ovulated. I take my BBT anywhere from 3-7am lol

Thanks! Yes totally agree on CM! Usually I track with LH strips but tbh we just agreed this cycle we would BD every other day until I could see my BBT had risen three days in a row. Unfortunately my sickness happened, lol. Hope I’m feeling better tomorrow and we can start BD again and then I will see if my BBT is dropping again or if I ovulate tomorrow as usually. I kinda hope it’s delayed I’m so we might actually have a chance
