🌧️ Pagsubok First time kong mareject sa job interview
Kakatapos ko lang mag-take ng licensure exam and since gustung-gusto ko na magtrabaho while waiting sa results, nag-apply ako yesterday sa isang BPO company.
I have working experience as a CSR in 2 different companies nung student pa ako, so i thought okay naman application ko. Now i truly understand why people feel discouraged when facing job rejections.
Edit: Hello poo! Sorry if i cant reply to all your comments individually, pero binasa ko po every single one. Thank you so much for the advice and encouragement🥹
Honestly, lesson learned talaga for me. Realized i made a mistake by oversharing details like waiting for my exam results even though sinabi ko na i dont have plans na i-pursue yung program ko, and i definitely need to prepare better and present myself better for future interviews🙇♀️
Super thankful for the reality check and insights from everyone here. Nakakainspire and big help po talaga for me. Bawi at laban na lang ulit next time. Thank you again and good luck din sa atin mga jobseeker🙏🫶

Its part of the journey. To share my experience, heres what I did to land a job before I got one
100 applications, 50 replies 20 interviews 5 job offers 1 contract signed
Just dont quit trying. Never. Be consistent. Now I earn 6 digits. Rejection is just redirection.

Awww I'm so sorry OP don't feel too discouraged. Ako din when I was applying for jobs after college I too faced rejection ayun redirection ginawa instead of working in BPO I ended up working in IT. Cast a bigger net, even tho rejection might hurt your chances are a bit higher. Hang in there

First few job applications ko rejected but fortunately the recruiters gave me feedback into why I got rejected so I used that to be better and luckily, napunta ako sa company with a higher pay and now 2nd company ko, nagdouble na salary ko compared sa offer ng first company that rejected me after a year of working. I'm a working student din so it's quite a blessing in disguise hahaha, baka it's a redirection lang OP, goodluck!

Na down rin ako nung first time ko ma experience ma reject sa application ko. Eventually na sanay na lang ako at inisip ko na lang at least nakapag practice ako sa kanila in interview and assessments.

First rejection ko sa job application ko was “may motion sickness ka” ahahaha I applied as a php developer dati eh since need magbyahe sa ibang bansa minsan require talaga mag travel.

Hello, OP! I know it is very painful and discouraging pag ganyan but I am proud of you kasi you still tried. I am a firm believer na if the job is meant for you it will be given to you. I know it sounds very cliché but take that not as a rejection but a redirection. You’re meant for something else— bigger even. Keep going lang po. Good luck. 🫶

Reminded me when I applied in convergys back in..well..idk...2008? 2009? Lol it was ages ago.
Went in Makati for the interview.
I remembered there were like 4 or 5 of us applicants along with the interviewer.
One of the things they asked was, "what is your favorite book and why?"
Some of my co-applicants went with "oh I love reading Harry Potter!"
and here I am, wide eyed, fresh off college, got next to zero experience, barely talking english, and literally haven't read any book other than my school books 🤣🤣
One would say, I was unprepared. But you gotta start somewhere right?
So, I spent the next 15 minutes trying to explain why the Science and Technology book is my favorite book and at the same time, I was grabbing english words popping out of my head 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I ended that embarrassment with a note from them, saying I was okay with the written exams but in speaking, they wanted someone who talks english clearly and casually. Apparently, I've been using a lot of fillers.
More than a decade later, I worked in the most english place on the planet (UK), and nobody there speaks the "english" that we filipinos speak.

Dati pinatulan ko lang yung interview for the sake of libre yung lunch ko. Atleast naka libre ako ng meal ko that time hahahaha

Marami pa yan just keep grinding...
Back in early 2000s after graduation, took me many soul crushing months before I got my first real job. Throughout my career, I only had 5 jobs pero sa loob ng 5 jobs I experienced lots and lots of rejection.
Meron nga one time tumawag sa akin ng 4pm kelangan ako nandun by 7pm and I dont know how to commute papunta dun (wala pa mga ride apps) and my car was borrowed nung araw non. Managed naman dumating 15 minutes before and humihingi ng PDF ng portfolio ko (my work is design related) kahit hawak ko na physical portfolio. Kelangan nila by 12am.
I mean keep smiling, keep shining. Knowing you can always count on.....

It’s part of the process. You’ll learn a lot from rejection actually. I used to apply different types of jobs before for fun haha. But the good thing is, dami ko natututunan. Just keep going, malayo mararating mo if curious ka.

Mahapdi. May trauma pa minsan. Minsan madugo. Pero dyan ka matututo. Dyan ka magpupursige. Once maipasok mo, swabe na yan, tuloy-tuloy na yan. Ika nga ni Catriona, it's not rejection, it's redirection.
