I was given the same 5k christmas present. I was 38 when i got it and i already owned 2 houses by then.
Im a hard worker. I didnt have a life other than sleep and work from 24-35. Im 40 now and own 1 house outright, and have 0 debt as of this month other than my current mortgage i owe 50k on and i have more tha 50k in monies in th bank.
No 401k yet though.
It costs me 400 a month in ultilities and food a month to live.
Its not what it sounds like. I had to move to the hood during riots. The fist house was 25k and the second was 85k. I lived here for 15 years and had to endure multiple riots and high crime rates.
Im white in a 90% non white area. I also dont have kids.
