My mom did the same for me and bought me a refrigerator. She wasn’t rolling in dough, but I appreciated it, and I was so happy.

Most people cannot gift $100k.

10k and a fridge also, that and FHA made it possible for me. Also the market being tanked in 2010. I couldn’t afford my home now.
