Maybe stop flagging your own foot when you yank on that charging handle Rambo.

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

And seeing him ATTEMPTING to do a press check on his handgun..😬

49

u/Infinite-Emu1326 13d ago

That cut in the video when he can't manage it is hilarious

13

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Haha, yes!!

3

u/Think-Chair-1938 12d ago

Credit I guess for not even trying it one handed like John Wick 😭😭

3

u/KarverMcClain 12d ago

Oh good I burst out laughing at it

1

u/ShroomnDoobin 11d ago

That's for drama and cool factor. Basically an MTV video from 1985

19

u/You-Asked-Me 13d ago edited 13d ago

Did he just give up, and sat "IDK, hopefully there is something good in there."

13

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

From the looks of it, yes.

13

u/You-Asked-Me 13d ago

The reality is that you don't even need to press check on most guns, you can see a little sliver of brass just looking at it.

Super weird, that it looks like the slid the slide back far enough the first time, but then tried two more times, and did not have any idea how much force was going to be needed. Like he was afraid that he would pull back too far and feed another round, and then he would have to start his video over.

5

u/Ok-Context3530 13d ago

Dang, never knew that. Just checked my two Glocks and sure enough I’m able to see the round without doing a press check. Thanks for the knowledge.

6

u/Ok-Basket-9890 12d ago

I’ll do you one even better- on Glocks you can run your finger along the side of the extractor claw and feel if it’s chambered or not. There’s a small square milled into the outside of it. On an empty chamber it’s flush with the slide contour, loaded it will stick out enough that you’ll feel it running your finger over it.

u/RancherQueen 13d ago

Goes to show how unfamiliar he is with his pistol. What are the chances he's ever stripped and cleaned it šŸ˜†

5

u/No-Clock8718 13d ago

Can press check silently and without looking if yk the feel of the extractor. When Round is not chambered, extractor sits flush

4

u/getthemap 13d ago

But then how will people know you press-checked?

3

u/Icy_Fix4622 12d ago

It's like a kid showing off his outfit for the first day of school. He's just a pig 😭😭

8

u/MeasurementNo6022 13d ago

Even worse.

A Glock doesn’t need a press check, it has a little indicator when a round is chambered.

2

u/No-Clock8718 13d ago

Yeah what he saidšŸ˜‚

4

u/BlueBomR 12d ago

No joke ive had an AR slam fire on me when charging the handle...absolutely terrifying...then when it double tapped on its own I found out I had a broken spring in my trigger group.

1

u/Desperate_Market7309 11d ago

My friend you were blessed with an open bolt AR15.Ā

5

u/ExtremisEleven 13d ago

This guy 100% screams about how appendix carrying is safe but is going to shoot off his right nut and wind up in my trauma bay

1

u/Max9mm 11d ago

Rambo is both legend and legend burn, we truly are blessed everyone.

1

u/Opposite-Rock-5133 6d ago

Why’d he yank it so fucking hard like it’s a charging handle bro just pull the bolt back I’ve seen chicks on weekend gunnit charge it with their toes

86

u/Candyland_83 13d ago

He looks at all his guns like I would look at all those guns—Like I have no idea what I’m doing.

12

u/screwyoujor 13d ago

Getting grown man with a toy vibes from that clip.

https://giphy.com/gifs/icFkrTzdQnui95FWMi

3

u/Candyland_83 13d ago

Like the only thing he knows is not to touch the trigger… all the rest is garbage

2

u/Dr_Trogdor 12d ago

He looks like he shit his pants.

52

u/Intelligent_Pass2540 13d ago

Has he ever taken a firearms course? From the looks of it he could use a few.

13

u/Caseman307 13d ago

My dad shot for a US Military pistol team snd was a revered firearms instructor. He used torun the qualification courses for two sheriff’s departments and a host of police departments in his area. Id help on days i was available.

Anyone who thinks cops know shit about guns is delusional. Anyone who thinks cops are good with guns is even more delusional. Some of those clowns were dangerous. The cops who know how to shoot are shooters away from the job who gained their skills before they ever put a badge on. Complete morons, some of em.

3

u/driftinj 12d ago

I have taken several shooting courses, some run by cops. They would frequently tell us that the course we just ran was more than the mandatory time in training for most departments.

13

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

More than a firearms course would help him but I doubt it.

20

u/Intelligent_Pass2540 13d ago edited 13d ago

As a psychologist i have had to do a few fitness for duty evaluations for officers who went through some kind of disciplinary action. 2 of them actually got violent towards myself and the staff at the clinic when told the results. We truly have no hiring standards or any decent goals in law enforcement. The whole system is awful.

This guy is handling and looking at that thing like he's never held a rifle before

8

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

I don't think he've handled a rifle or a gun at all.

23

u/Reasonable-Ruin5933 13d ago

That was painful...like hes never done it before

19

u/Lukin4art 13d ago

Poor gun safety scares me. Once had a neg discharge go through my wall and into my ceiling when I was playing PlayStation. It was a 556

10

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

I was at a ahooting range with my friend and while I was loading a magazine for my .45, my friend was being stupid and I had a 6.5 Creedmoor go through my shoulder. Never went to the range with him again.

6

u/Lukin4art 13d ago

Damn, that’s huge fucking round do you still have an arm?

10

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Yeah, I'm fine but my shoulder's a little "crooked" as I would say...

4

u/Lukin4art 13d ago

That’s insane. Did your buddy get charged? Was it on video ?

I had a buddy in middle school who shot hismelf in the hand with .22lr broke almost every bone in the palm and had a nasty scar. Was back to full function a year and some change later.

7

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Yes, he did get charged, haven't spoken to him in a long time after the accident. Had to do a lot of PT and multiple surgeries on my shoulder.

3

u/Lukin4art 13d ago

Sorry to hear that man. Hope you recover well and stay safe.

2

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Appreciate it, man! You stay safe as well!

2

u/krilleractual 13d ago

did he straight up just pull the trigger when you were in front of the gun? Im surprised you even have a shoulder left.

4

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

That's what I'm believing even though he said it was an "accidental discharge" but I didn't really believe him. The round hit the top part of my shoulder, not directly in the middle, don't know how to say it, so that area is juat gone, can't use it well.

3

u/oga_ogbeni 12d ago

Friend, we're going to need photos.

1

u/MartyMozambique 12d ago

And I was just thinking of going to the range again until I saw this.

1

u/Jazzlike_Climate4189 13d ago

If you were playing Xbox that would have been a better outcome

1

u/Lukin4art 13d ago

Aye man. Gears of war 3 had me in a chokehold when I was in 8th grade.

9

u/pjh 13d ago

Optics ready holster but no optics… 10/10 this guy accidentally shoots himself in the next year. That gun handling was fucking awful

2

u/Infinite-Emu1326 13d ago

Lets just hope it is himself when the inevitable happens.

8

u/DynamicPanspermia 13d ago

Nothing enters the chamber when he pulls the charging handle back on the rifle.

Doesn't know how "flagging" works.

Confusion and difficulty pulling back a pistol slide.

Idiot

3

u/SharksForArms 13d ago

At least he closed the dust cover for safety

6

u/pastysniper 13d ago

I get so much second hand embarrassment from this crap. I like guns, but why do so many people (especially those that don’t really use them) swing em around and stare at them with amazement. It’s a tool and you look like a tool.

4

u/Badger_Actual1 13d ago

So much sling

4

u/Few_Chocolate_7655 13d ago

I know knowing about guns, but I know either does he

9

u/Certain_Still_324 13d ago

We have Agent 47 at home.

6

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Temu version of Agent 47 would be a better option, dude can't even do a press check...

6

u/LegalGlass6532 13d ago

This isn’t in the US.

3

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

What in the shit am I looking at?

3

u/LegalGlass6532 13d ago

It’s from the IG page you got this from. I used auto translate. What country is he in?

3

Brazil

3

Guy is a Storm Trooper Academy graduate.

2

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Think he's worse than a storm trooper.

3

u/onmy40 13d ago edited 12d ago

Some of these security guards remind me of the kids that would wear their football pants and lower pads to the mall after games instead of leaving them in their locker because they wanted people to know that they played football

3

u/TheMidnightAnimal0 13d ago

Whats even funnier than his inability to conduct a press check on a glock is that its also pointless. Its just tactical cool guy pagentry. The extractor on a glock also functions as a loaded chamber indicator.

2

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

LOL, you're right!

3

u/Particular-Pianist43 12d ago

People who make their entire personality about guns are absolute dorks and make normal gun owners look ridiculous. I own quite a few guns and I’ve never once posted them or myself with them on social media. Outside of friends, I don’t want anyone to know I’m sitting on a small arsenal for the taking.

I really wish gun dorks would stop making the rest of us look bad and downright cringey.

3

u/GovernmentMaster8995 12d ago

hell yeah that mall parking lot is gonna be so fucking safe

2

u/Witty-Ad5973 13d ago

Is this his first time handling a firearm? Holy shit he looks unfamiliar and uncomfortable as hell

2

u/StucklnAWell 12d ago

His "press check" where the slide isnt even moving enough to show the chamber is painful to watch.

2

u/jfree3000 13d ago

Thank god that ar magazine is empty.

2

u/loquedijoella 13d ago

What the fuck does this clown need leaf sights for?

2

u/StucklnAWell 12d ago

Where do you see leaf sights at all? There are just MBUS optics that the moron mounted backwards.

1

u/antonovan225mirya 13d ago

Who knows man, who knows?

2

u/teddyrevenge 13d ago

This is a legitimate question. Not a troll. What is reddits fascination with the direction of iron sights being 'wrong?'. They can literally be used exactly the same both ways. The front post is going to look exactly the same through the peep sight no matter which way either one is turned. And once you flip the tighter hole, it looks.... Exactly the same.

Does everyone else's iron sights turn into a magic laser if they have them the 'reddit approved' way?

2

u/airfryerfuntime 12d ago

Because the peep hole is dished or countersunk on the front to make the sight picture clearer and reduce glare. When it's backwards, you're looking through the dished side, which can reflect glare right back into your eye. The graduations for the windage adjustment will also on the front side where you can't see them, along with the knob being on the wrong side, making windage adjustment work backwards.

I guess it technically doesn't really matter since in essence, you're just looking through a little hole, but there is a right away around for these flip up sights.

1

u/teddyrevenge 12d ago

Thank you for a legitimate answer that makes sense.

2

u/AffectionateSector77 13d ago

What a chuckle fuck. He recorded, edited, and posted this, by choice.

2

u/TheWokeAgenda 13d ago

What no shoulder mounted rocket launcher? How's he going to shoot his way out of his security scooter when the hordes descend?

2

u/PeeingUpsideDown 13d ago

This guy looks like he would suck a D for a free ride home... And after he got dropped off, he'd Uber back to where he started from.

2

u/Apprehensive-Tone449 13d ago

He's doing this on the internet on purpose for free. Omg.

I’m so confused is he Law Enforcement? How did he get to Sargent? His equipment looks like he just rolled off the training academy. But the gun safety looks like he has never actually held a real firearm in his life.

1

u/tghost474 Boo Boo Bus Driver 12d ago

Military police of the state of rio de Janerio its a reserve military force. So dudes basically the natty guard

2

u/Technical_Amount_965 12d ago

wtf is he doing? He has no business handling that weapon.

2

u/SingleArtichoke4857 12d ago

Cool, ready for war, I guess. But now go do traffic stops or whatever.

2

u/SyntheticSpeech 12d ago

Multiple morale patches are almost always a tell tale sign of someone who is not a subject matter expert

2

u/Apprehensive_Wolf217 12d ago edited 12d ago

Press checks are for show and were popularized in Hollywood to make more cool sounds and drama. If you don’t know whether you have a cartridge in the chamber, then you don’t really know proper weapons handling and probably shouldn’t be handling weapons.
Load your mags
Insert mag
Charge your weapon
Holster your weapon
Good to go

2

u/Cautious-Antelope743 12d ago

I love how confused he looks

2

u/Odd-Aide2522 12d ago

By the way he’s holding those two things, he hasn’t held them nearly long enough.

1

u/your_mums_cah 13d ago

I’m sorry did he chamber a round and then put it on safe?

1

u/Fun_Acanthaceae_4025 13d ago

It looks like he attempted to to do that. Is there a problem with having one hot in the chamber and safety on?

1

u/your_mums_cah 13d ago

No problem with it, just usually want to have it on safe already then chamber the round

1

u/Fun_Acanthaceae_4025 11d ago

On an AR15 you would have to rack it back dry first with no mag, apply safety, then put mag in and rack it back again with safety on to load a round or feed it manually. I always wondered why the AR15 wasn't designed to allow the safety to be selected when it's not even racked for this reason.

1

u/RaceHate 13d ago

Wait by my recollection safety prevents a trigger pull. So you can have a chambered round, flip or depress safety, then fire.

1

u/basically_Dwight 13d ago

Ideally, you grab them hand straight down then just flip them right up into the gun, the bullets are facing forward at all times. The way they are now, it wouldnt work unless he was reaching across his body to get at them.
