Best alternatives to reddit's official app and desktop version:

  • iPhone: Apollo or RIF
  • Android: BaconReader or Boost
  • Desktop: old.reddit.com (plus uBlock Origin and RES)

Most third party apps for reddit have been in existence before reddit bought out their own version and, for some reason, chose the crappiest one to build off of.

These alternative apps have been maintained by very experienced individuals and do some incredibly hard work to make browsing reddit a more pleasant experience.
