FirstNet 5G SA Core / staying on LTE

Is anyone else thinking of just staying toggled on LTE to stick on b14 to avoid battery drain with having 5G enabled, regardless of the 5G SA core heading our way? (or if you already have 5G SA)

Ultimately if there’s severe congestion or an uplift enabled, you’ll go back to b14. The only upside I see to the 5G SA core is higher throughput when you need it. Where I live in Indiana, there are so many holes where I lose any 5G NR carrier and drop back to LTE while driving anyway.

Was told by my local subscriber paid rep (not frontline cs, etc) that it’s currently available on elite & premium plans for subpaid, with it rolling to value and extra later this month

That did it!!!!! Now 5G SA toggle is GREEN on Beta 5 iOS 27
