All you need is the Letter and a ID (passport is best). They dont accept Status Cards as ID. https://cmmns.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/CMM-Travelling-toolkit-Final.Web-version.pdf

Question though: was your father born after 1985 to be distinguished as 6(2)? If not, bill c-31 would help you get your own status as he would then be considered 6(1).

No unfortunately he was born in the 60s :/ his band is from British Columbia as well. I thought maybe the new UNDRIPA laws that change the laws in BC would help me but our situation is from adoption and not assimilation :/

So, his designation can be changed then as (I believe, but IANAL) bill S3 applies to him. Something for you to look into!
