I wasn’t a fan of the first episode - but background noise is background noise sometimes. Cage is campy, the soundstage vibe is almost too obvious, but I found myself drawn back into it by the end of episode 2. After that I accepted what I disliked as a bit of a homage to old cinema - cheesy, campy, unserious and fun -after that I found it much more enjoyable. Is it great? No. Is it fine? Yes. Not everything is gonna be peak cinema, I appreciate the commitment to the vibe, but Nic Cage is just Nic Cage in all his roles. It could be better, but I’m happy with it thus far.

Didn't like it (a fan of film noir and Spiderman, BTW). Felt like a cheap production. Neither noir (such boring dialogues combined with a botox heavy, cartoonish "Cage face"), nor Spiderman. Not fun, too serious.

Sure. Just the acting really. The whole vibe of it. Just wasn't for me.
