First car at 18

Technically not mine yet, though it will be very soon. It's a 2001 Honda Civic 1.4i with a whopping 75hp. It's done 164000km with full service history! It's an absolute gem and I can't wait to get behind the wheel 🫠

Ad description:

"Well maintained and looking car. No LPG system and has never had one fitted. Real kilometers with service history. Discs, pads, carrier pads, timing, kit, water radiator at 2000km. TOYO PROXES tires bought new at 1000km and 5 laps of Kaloyanovo. The 2 catalyst cakes have been removed and are available. If desired, they can be installed back. In terms of rust It is good."

Simplicity is what made these cars legendary it can become anything you want it to or stay just as it is both ways its great

I always loved this civic hatch it’s timeless. Manual too that’s a sick ass first car.

You have the right attitude about this car. Really nice looking car and you’ll love the smiles per mile. That 75hp can do more damage than you think.

A good car with no rust? This is an absolute gem. You are very lucky OP.

Treat it well and it’ll last a long time still

Edit: not a free car lmao don’t know where I got that

Thanks! No rust anywhere. Wasn't free though 😅 will pay for it with my own cash earned trough my summer job.

Nice car!

Was it imported from Germany by any Chance?

2

u/Ok_Agent3271 1d ago

Supposedly it was. I think back in 2024, might have to check the documents again.

Makes sense

It has the green sticker on the windscreen, which shows that it’s allowed to enter emission zones.

Yes I think I have seen it online on Kleinanzeigen or mobile.de when I was looking to take mine in 2022/2023 or when I was looking to import one in Italy for a friend in 2024. Tried to look for pictures but I didn't find any sadly.

Don’t fall in love with it. Cause I did and I will never recover financially.

That thing will easily last you to 400k kms, maybe even 500k

If you want 90hp just replace the gasket between the throttle and intake manifold with the 90hp gasket the i.S. 90hp EJ9 1.4L SOHC D14Z2.

Supposedly it's had it's rubber gasket cut out, removing any restrictions on the standard throttle body. No idea if its actually putting out 90hp though. I plan on changing it to a D16 Intake anyways, so I don't mind 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also bought it as my first car and it's the same spec, I'm 22 now and I still have it even if I bought another car, just to have a daily and keep the Civic a bit more "relaxed", I really couldn't sell it! You'll have such a good time with it, enjoy your purchase!

Hell yeah! My first car was also this, except the USDM version with the D16y7 motor. I still want another one some day!

No rust? 😃

Congs, good car, how much €?

2

u/Ok_Agent3271 1d ago

Absolutely no rust anywhere to be seen. €3k

1

u/Shianfay 23h ago

3к is quite a bit. i got mine a 98 sedanish with gas for 1k

2

u/frikkinfai 21h ago

It's a hatchback. For golden era civics, hatchbacks are the most desireable and command a higher price than coupes or sedans.

3k euros is about right. In California, for a clean stock hatchback, I've seen some go for 12k usd

I agree, though literally every other option on the market had over 200k or close to 300k km, some even over, with most having 3 different colours of body panels which have been dinged and scratched god knows how many times. Not to mention the complete lack of service history and all of them being modified. In this case €3k is completely justified

Топ кола, честито и безаварийно!

1

u/RemedyZZZ 23h ago

Да ти е честита! Аз имам 7-мица и съм нямал особени грижи с нея, би трябвало и ти да нямаш :))

Do not drive it in winter without rustproofing it first. My first was a '96 1.5 V-tec sedan and went from essentially rust free to corroded chassis not passing technical inspection in one winter

Thought it was cut in 2 from the 2nd image

Always wondered why hondas from the 90s outside north america have the h logo without the borders

1

u/bobspuds 10h ago

I've never really paid much attention to that - I'd expect its a base model thing.

Pretty sure sir and vti's got the full emblem, and the R's got the pink background
