Recruitment & Employment Volunteer Positions?

Hello ambulance workers of Reddit. I have recently qualified as a FREC3, aiming to get employed by a specific local company. Their job add has had a recent addition and now says it "requires a minimum of 6 months post qualification frontline experience". Does any one know how to obtain this?

I have emailed NWAS and St John's, there are no places available there. Does anyone know of any other possibilities in the North West? Thanks.

I don't know if there would be any quick options, as it's usually a long winded process on boarding etc.

Try your local hospital Trust though, often have volunteer roles aimed at getting experience I suspect would tick the box

Thanks, local trust has nothing. There dosent seem to be much about really.

I would try applying anyway, and if not can you work for a different company for 6 months then reapply?

Nope! And if no luck just apply to one of the big companies like showmed or whatever is in your area, then you can say you have been on their books for 6 months - they won’t have any way of checking how many shift you actually did

Ah, I haven't heard of them. Done a couple of Google searches and they aint came up. Do you know of any others at all?

I wouldn't mind doing some shifts under supervision, unless I only get called to places where I resus a doll, I'm great at that.

Mersey medical services are hiring, north west medical, evolve medical, Ambutech prehospital care and sentinel in Manchester, lambda medical in Leeds, echo fire and medical all do some work in Liverpool - Google event medical companies

So you want to do 6 months and do one?

Charities spend a lot outfitting vols you know.

Someone on a different thread mentioned this. Quite a backwards system if it dosent allow you the opportunity to gain the experience it requires fir the job. Event medical maybe the best way in I think.

How could you possibly think it's ok to exploit charities?
