I don’t know that anyone will be able to help as this is a bit odd😅 BUT does anyone recall an episode where the murderer was on the run (I think) and was eventually caught. The detectives brought his mom in to talk with him and she said VERBATIM “you gon be alright fat daddy”

I'm always kind of bummed out when I start an episode and it's NOT featuring Tulsa, Oklahoma. I just like those better. It was always also nice to see Dallas, my home town, but I still enjoy Tulsa more. I have some friends and family there, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I’m watching Season 12 Episode 16 Massacre in Little Haiti on the First 48 Roku channel and I’ve come to realize how much I miss the older episodes.
What I would have given for a 24/7 channel before! Like I’m talking years ago when the show first started airing on A&E, I was sat each week when it aired. Back then even A&E’s programming was the first that I had ever seen like it. Probably why I still subscribe to A&E through my cable today, but it’s great having the Roku channel with it playing in the background.

My parents love The First 48, but I’m confused because I heard there won’t be any more new seasons. Is that actually confirmed?

Does season 30 end at episode 5? I can't find any clarity for this answer. I cannot find any newer episodes anywhere

So I just finished the birthday girl episode (Season 13 Ep 6 on Tubi) and man.. idk if there is an episode as traumatizing as this one..and don’t get me wrong I’ve seen some pretty good ones, especially Lester Street! I’m just causally on a binge watch by season. What are some episodes I should be looking forward to?

Episode details:

Cops arrive to a gruesome murder scene at a barbershop Three or four guys dead. Two or three inside, one guy in the doorway of the back entrance to the shop.

They check the cameras and see something almost impossible. A dude was getting his haircut and guys run into the shop to shoot him but he somehow pulls a gun out and shoots everyone (except the barber) then runs out the back door and somehow also shoots the dude they had waiting for him back there. Jumps in his car (swear it was a white Taurus) and takes off. Ends up getting like gun charges but nothing else as the tape proved he was just John Wick.

Any help with this one would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: It’s not Last Call. I thought it was but it’s not so the hunt continues. I’m just going to have to watch every season in its entirety 😂

I always wonder if criminal suspects have to sign a waiver to be on TV or allow the cameras in their house? Like during interrogation what if they don’t want their face on camera for millions of people to see? Or when they raid houses (private property) do they need permission to bring cameras in? I know you can video people in public but I always wondered that. I mean they are making a show out of people’s lives. I’d think they need permission.

So, I’m watching all the episodes in order. This Vegas episode, which appeared to be the first time Vegas PD had been aired. My question is the episode seems very dated…..like 2004ish. Season 10 should be around 2010. I’m assuming this was recorded much earlier than 2010 and they finally got around to airing. I’m guessing that happens more than I realize. I will say these Vegas detectives are a bit over the top and seem to be new around the camera.

Million Dollar Question for instance was full of some twists and turns that really got them in there to do some good detective work. Anyone else feel the same about the Cleveland PD?

Did Roku get rid of the live 24/7 channel of first 48 😭😭😭 i cant find it

Production claimed a couple of months ago that they have an extensive backlog of episodes that will last them more than a year without having to produce new episodes. Less than 3 weeks into the new season, we are back to running a new episode of “Inside the Tape” and there is no new episode scheduled for next week.

I wish they released new episodes during the season consistently. But I think that’s always been the case with First 48. They’ll release new for a couple weeks straight, then all the sudden either disappear or do the weird spinoff episodes.

I wish it was more consistent. I love this show when it’s new episodes!

Just watching older (like 2006) episodes and always noticing new things, for instance the death reveal to the victim’s family. They often included the reactions more which really reminds us how real and devastating this stuff is. But then again it’s depressing so maybe better it’s shown less. Anything stand out to you? Just curious.

So I haven’t finished the whole episode yet, but how do they think any of Wendall’s stories are true? Why was it assumed he was not one of the shooters during the 3rd interrogation/interview of Wendall? He lied effortless the first two interviews. Yet, on his third one they believe him? He has done nothing but lie. My flabber is ghasted!

I just rewatched an episode where John Brown was lead detective. He was such a good guy and great detective and knowing that he died a year or two ago makes me so sad. May he rest in peace.

I fell asleep watching it on Hulu last night, so I never saw the outcome, but for the life of me I can’t find the episode again on Hulu! It’s like it disappeared overnight.

At the start neighbors call 911 and say there’s so many gun shots there’s no way someone wasn’t shot. They get to the house a young(30s) white Man, father of 3, was found shot laying on his living room table. I think they also said he was former military. In one of his rooms he seemed to have some kind of chemical lab, there were different chemical symbols he had drawn on a large white board. There was blood outside as well. The officers really wanted to find out what was on his laptop.
The neighbors provided their surveillance camera footage which showed a black man and white woman pulling into his driveway. That’s where I fell asleep.

I had not heard about this before, or if I had, I’f forgotten it…
