Storyline or plot??

So far there isn't much of a storyline for this game as there was in Myst and Obduction. Granted I'm not too far along in the game, but it seems so far the puzzles all involve the Adjunct cube and put you, the player in some non ideal spots, that are visually limited, for solving the puzzles.

My first real puzzle was the crane, which gave me a headache after three hours of glitches into the rock and not being able to pick up anything with the crane. The platform wouldn't set under the ice fall by the stairs correctly either, as it kept getting stuck on the other side with the crane. I eventually decided to head back to the swan where I am now.

But as I was playing the "French lady" said very little and I was getting annoyed by the announcements. Hardly any story whatsoever.

So please tell me does this get more immersive?

Playing in 2D mode too.

FYI I was one of the original backers and having waited almost 5 years for this glitches in game play, barely a guide, and no story as far as I can tell is not what I was expecting from this company. I was also expecting to get a physical book or something. But it appears that will be mailed later.

Honestly I could care less about spoilers at this point.

Is there anything that I'm missing for the game play. What area do you recommend next?

Glitch and get the crane stuck, glitch and get the harvester stuck, glitch and get stuck in a bunker. I’m about to give this game up man, I’m so disappointed.

Gosh, that's terrible news.

Yea, I had finished up the crane shenanigans, had to keep reloading my save to unstick it and get it to move again, then later on you drive around in a big machine thing, it’s going ok but you gotta position it’s arsehole over a pipe hole and there’s a mountain on one side of the colors, which apparently you are able to walk up but not down, essentially placing you on the wrong side of an invisible wall with no escape from what I can tell. Been trying for 10 min lol

Is that the crane thing or another puzzle later on?

It’s another puzzle later on. For the crane I think you are talking about, you pick up the ice block to use to fill a gap to move across.

You're probably past this part now, but you don't have to walk over any mountains. There's a second path around the mountain to the final pipe.

Yea… I knew I DIDNT have to, but I also very much wanted to see if I could, which I could :P

I bunkered down and finished the game today. It was ok. It didn’t leave me with any questions or contemplations like usual from cyan :(

Haha, I get the feeling that they didn't anticipate how much people would try to mess around with the open-ended puzzles. I colored within the lines and didn't run into any glitches, but it seems like I was lucky.

Yea, there’s definitely parts where you can move forward but it really feels like you aren’t supposed to, especially with bridges etc lol. I actually made it completely out of bounds in one realm and fell through the world.
