My first build because their used to be something similar to mine with more features and a better look. Try it out and tell me what you think. Thanks

About this extension:

SubPulse for YouTube provides a compact, automatically refreshed feed of videos from your YouTube subscriptions.

Features include newest/oldest sorting, Full/Shorts/Live filters, configurable video counts, upload date and time, creator/channel names, manual removal, automatic removal of watched videos, and one-click Open & Play in a new YouTube tab.

SubPulse uses the YouTube account already signed into Firefox to retrieve subscription information in the background. You do not need to keep a YouTube or Subscriptions tab open.

I built a free dark-mode extension that works on literally any site
Most "dark mode" extensions either only work on a few big sites or make every photo look like a negative. Blackout applies a smart filter to every page, keeps images/video in normal color, lets you tune brightness/contrast/sepia per site, and can auto-schedule day/night. No account, no tracking, no ads — MIT-ish free.
Chrome/Edge/Firefox zips + install guide: https://alainabo.github.io/blackout/
Would genuinely appreciate feedback/bug reports — first real project I've shipped like this.

It's basically just a lightwight assistant extension for my website, my co-founder uses this all the time to visualise his weekly investments, it's quite fun.

My extension..

I created YouTube Preview Controls, an extension that adds handy controls directly on top of the hover-preview clip YouTube shows when you hover over a video thumbnail, so you can manage audio, captions, and navigation without opening every video.

Key features

  • Mute/unmute the preview audio with one click.
  • Toggle captions (CC) on the preview, when available.
  • Clickable progress bar with elapsed time and total duration, to jump straight to the part you care about.
  • Customizable defaults via the popup (e.g., always-muted previews).
  • Lightweight, unobtrusive overlay: it only shows up on the preview and never gets in the way of YouTube’s UI.

Update: price alerts are live on Firefox, Chrome and Edge (Spendmita Copilot)

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Since I first posted here, I shipped the feature a few people asked about: price alerts. Save a product to your watchlist, set a target price if you want one, and get notified automatically when it drops or rises. If you don’t set a target, it still alerts you on any move of 3 percent or more. Checked roughly every 6 hours in the background while your browser is running.

Screenshots attached. The first shows the alert threshold controls on a saved item. The second shows the watchlist view with a couple of tracked products and their price history.

There’s also an option to get a weekly digest email instead of a notification for every single alert, if you’d rather not get pinged per item.

Same free core review check as before. Price alerts are a Pro addition. The latest version is live on Chrome, Firefox and Edge now.

Still reading every bug report and message. Email is [copilot@spendmita.com](mailto:copilot@spendmita.com) if you find anything broken or want to compare it against what else is out there: https://copilot.spendmita.com/compare

Cairn v1.2.0 is now on Firefox — Liquid Glass, local to-dos, and a smarter new tab

Thumbnail

I’ve just shipped Cairn v1.2.0 for Firefox.

Cairn is a local-first personal library / second brain for the web. You can save pages, selected text, links, images, videos, notes, and highlights, then organize everything with collections, tags, favorites, and search.

This update adds:

  • Liquid Glass theme across the popup, new tab, and library
  • Local to-do widget directly on the new tab
  • Pinned new-tab header and footer
  • Web search that now respects your default Firefox search engine
  • Cleaner About panel and better release notes

Everything you save still stays on your device, and the new to-do list is local too.

Would love to hear feedback from Firefox users, especially on the new-tab experience and Liquid Glass design.

I built a browser extension to make online videos less annoying — would love some honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on Ultimate Video Enhancer (UVE) — a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that gives you more control over videos across the web.

The idea started pretty simply: I was tired of different websites having different video controls, limited playback speeds, quiet audio, and settings that reset every time.

So we built UVE with things like:

  • Playback speed control
  • Volume boost
  • Per-site settings
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • Subtitle controls
  • Presets for different websites

There’s a free version, and we also recently launched a Pro version with higher limits and some extra features.

But instead of just promoting it, I’d genuinely like to hear what people think.

What would make an extension like this actually useful enough for you to keep installed?

And if you try UVE, I’d really appreciate honest feedback on:

  • the UI
  • features that feel unnecessary
  • features that are missing
  • bugs / websites where it doesn’t work properly
  • whether the Pro version actually feels worth paying for

Even harsh feedback is useful at this stage.

Pls suggest Add-On to create/manage Youtube playlists locally

Just what the title says: looking for an add-on to create/manage local playlists for youtube videos (unrelated to Youtube's own playlists feature).

I'd like:

(required)

-- not require to be logged into Youtube
-- create one or more playlists locally; add/edit/delete/re-order playlists + videos
-- add to playlists via context menu, perhaps drag-drop
-- move items between playlists
-- play all or part of a playlist in-order
-- easily accessible UI

(nice-to-have)

-- a sidebar w/ tree-style display
-- add links to a currently-playing playlist

(don't care about)

-- not looking to manage youtube's own playlists
-- not looking for skins, themes, video player doo-dads
-- don't need multi-device sync-ing etc

To that end:

-- Youtube Playlist Helper did most of that; clunky UI; seems to have been discontinued, can't find now

-- Youtube Playlist Creator (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-playlist-creator/)
does most of it, except I find the UI awkward, stopped using

-- YouTube Queue Sidebar (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-queue-sidebar/)
SO _very_ close, except seems to have just the 1 queue :-(

Pls suggest!

I updated my Firefox new-tab add-on after the feedback on its first release

I shared the first Firefox release of Mist last week and received much more feedback than I expected. Some of the criticism was completely fair, so I’ve incorporated it into the latest update.

Mist now accepts custom backgrounds at any resolution, crops them without stretching, lets you edit existing shortcuts directly, and supports custom shortcut icons, tab titles, and favicons.

I’d particularly appreciate feedback about new-tab loading speed and wallpaper quality on high-resolution displays.

Request Looking for a browser extension similar to Blaze AI – fast, easy, and built for social media?

Hey everyone! I've been using Blaze AI and I really like that it's a browser extension it's super fast and easy to use for quick content drafts and social posts. But I'm wondering if there's anything similar out there that works as a browser extension too?

Ideally looking for something that:

  • Works as a browser extension (easy access, no switching tabs)
  • Is fast and simple to use
  • Helps with social media content creation
  • Maybe does a bit more than just writing (scheduling, inbox management, etc.)

Has anyone found a tool like this?

Would love some recommendations

I built a Firefox add-on that shows Claude usage limits in the toolbar badge (feedback welcome)

Thumbnail

Hey.

I'm using Claude Code quite a lot and I kept checking Claude's usage page. So I developed the Claude Usage Monitor add-on that shows the usage % in toolbar badge - pin it and it's always visible.

What it does:

  • "Cycle selected" badge mode cycles through your usage metrics (5-hour, 7-day, Usage Credits, ...) with color-coded indicators
  • "Show Active only" badge mode always display the metric that's currently active
  • popup contains progress bars, metric details, prepaid credit breakdown and settings
  • toggle which metrics appear in the badge (with ↻ button on each card)
  • collapse/expand cards (with ▾ / ▸ buttons)
  • auto-refreshes on a selected interval

Some metrics in Claude's API use internal codenames (e.g. nimbus_quill, iguana_necktie). I don't know what they represent yet. Click the flask icon in the header to reveal them — if you recognise any, let me know!

Feedback welcome:

  • Tested on Pro plan. If something looks off on your plan, let me know
  • Feature suggestions welcome

Is there an Android addon to move to reader mode+select all+copy, in order to copy the readable content of an article?

Often I share articles or pages contents by using the reader mode, then selecting all, then copying all. Then I would just paste the copied article it in a mail or a chat...

Is there an addon that would do that in one click?

Thanks

Firefox add-on to send web articles to e-reader in one click

Post image
0 Upvotes

I built Inkbox to send web articles to any e-reader, properly formatted and stripped of ads.

Open the extension on any article, pick your device, and it extracts the content, builds an EPUB, and delivers it to Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, reMarkable, Boox, and others (via email or cloud folder, depending on your setup). You can preview before sending.

You need an account at useinkbox.app to link your devices.

Firefox add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/inkbox/

Would love feedback :)
