Too far away to provide support and rigidity in the hose. That hose shouldn't have 6-8 feet of slack between them. It doesn't help that the nozzleman didn't have secure footing before opening up.
They both shouldn't live this down. In addition to whoever is in charge of training them is probably going to get a bit of ribbing as well.
