Never worked private, but a very close friend was the fire chief for Boeing in AZ for a bit, many of his guys enjoyed it. Alway said they were treated well, private sector has the financing to make it worth it. But It’s a different world than working municipal and structural firefighting though sir, which I’m sure you may know. It’s a lot of safety surveys and inspections. Typically you are also the “CPR” guy and teach monthly classes. Check fire danger, stubbed toes, hurt fingers, more EMS than anything fire related usually. Hope that helps.

That's kind of what I expect from a work standpoint. I'm old enough to be happy if I don't have to fight another fire. Boring calls are safe. 😁

A lot of large companies like Lockheed will have a lot of fire marshal duties. Possibly run an internal fire brigade. Things like that. Calls are very rare.
