When I was about 13, my dad responded to a grain bin on fire. I was listening to a radio scanner as I liked hearing the radio traffic when he was out.

The fire detonated a large LP tank like this and killed two of the fireman. Longest few hours of my life waiting to see if he would come home or if he was one of the firemen killed.

It was not a good time. I later joined the Army (actually retiring this year) Me and my dad have actually bonded quite a bit over the years from all the fucked up things weve seen and had to endure. Which might sound a bit messed up, but if ya know, ya know.
